Stump Day Catastrophe

It was Stump Day in the magical land of Mewni. It was festive all around the village of the Butterfly Kingdom and everyone was happy. But however, things were not so inside Butterfly Castle, the home of Star Butterfly. In fact. It was miserable. Marco had tried to throw Star a party, because it was also her birthday on this day. But Star wasn't having it, as it would 'anger the mighty stump' to celebrate it.

"I told you this was a bad idea, dude. But you didn't wanna listen"

"At least I wanted to throw Star a party! You didn't plan anything! And you're supposed to be her BOYFRIEND!"

A loud 'ooooohhhh' could be heard from around the room. Then there was a deafening silence around the room.

"What?" Tom said, barely over whisper.

"Marco! Take it back" Kelly whispered.

"You heard me, Lucitor"

"Um. I didn't plan anything because, unlike you, I thought about what Star would have wanted"

"Did you? Because it kinda seemed this morning you FORGOT"

"OHOHOHOHOHO. I'M GONNA POUND YOU INTO NEXT STUMP DAY"

Tom threw a large fireball at Marco. It hit him straight in the chest, lighting his hoodie on fire

"ARGH!" He screamed in pain.

"Marco!" Star gasped.

She quickly grabbed her wand.

"WINTERSTORM HYPERBLOW!!"

The blast hit Marco hard, leaving him in the corner, battered and bruised, but not on fire.

He looked up. The last thing Marco saw was Tom, Star and the others around him as he blacked out.

The others looked frightened. Marco's skin was burnt and he was bruised badly. Star grabbed his dimensional scissors and picked him up along with the others. She opened a portal to the Earth hospital and asked for help. The nurses and doctors soon surrounded Marco and took him away. leaving Star all alone. She walked through the portal with a solemn look on her face.

"Star I-" Tom started, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" She shrugged him off.

She ran upstairs to her room, leaving everyone speechless.

"I should probably go talk to her..." Tom started.

"No way dude. You're the last person she wants to see right now. I'll go" Janna said to Tom

Janna ran upstairs and knocked lightly on the door.

"Who is it?"

"Janna"

"Come in"

Janna slowly opened Star's door. There she saw Star, lying in her bed. It looked like she had been crying.

"You okay, Star?"

Star didn't reply.

"I know that you're pissed with Tom right now. But Marco will be fine! I've seen him
beat up monsters three times his size! He can tank this. I know he can"

"But it looked bad, I shouldn't have done that spell on him..."

"No way, Star. He looked bad, but that spell stopped him from looking even worse! Promise"

"I just.. URGH! Why why why would Tom even do that! I thought he changed. I know Marco and him were bickering but it was a huge leap in logic to try and kill him!"
