❄️Mewni's Paperboy ||❄️

The next few weeks came by and it was finally Christmas Eve. Time for Marco to spend his well-earned money. He poured all the coins out on the desk of the jewellery.

"Annnnnd 1000! You're good to go, kid" The store clerk said.

He handed Marco the box for the locket. When he opened it, he saw that the locket was even more beautiful when it wasn't behind glass.

"She's gonna love it..." he smiled.

Marco left the store and went back to the temple.

"Eclipsa... Eclipsa! Look!" Marco said giddily.

Eclipsa walked over as Marco opened the box.

"Oh, Marco... it's gorgeous... she's gonna be so happy..." she smiled

It was a nice heart-shaped golden locket with some nice sparkly studs. It had room for a photo inside, too. Marco reached into his pocket and pulled out a picture of Star and Marco smiling, with Star's arm slung over his shoulder. It was just small enough to fit in the locket. He slipped it in and it was complete.

"Y-You think she'll like it...?" Marco asked timidly.

"She'll love it, Marco..." Eclipsa smiled.

The next day soon came, and everyone was downstairs giving and receiving gifts. Eclipsa got a new hat from her husband, Star got a cool sparkly headband and a sweater from Eclipsa... and everyone was in the Stump Day spirit.

Marco sat next to Star on the couch.

"Hey, Marco! Today's been nice huh?" Star smiled.

Her voice made him gulp from nervousness.

"Y-Yeah... um... it's not over yet, though!" Marco blushed.

"Oh!?" Star said in pleasant surprise.

Marco pulled out a tiny wrapped box and handed it to her.

"Merry Christm- I... I mean... Stump Day, Star..." Marco smiled.

Star went pink and held the tiny box.

"Wow... Marco... I thought we said we weren't gonna get each other anything..." Star gasped.

"Well, when have we ever followed orders, Star?" He smirked.

"Heh... thank you, Marco..." she smiled.

"Go ahead, open it..." Marco smiled.

Eclipsa and Globgor were watching intently as Star unwrapped the velvety box. She carefully opened it and gasped.

"Oh... oh my goodness Marco it's gorgeous!" She whispered.

"Open it..." Marco blushed.

Star opened it and gasped again.

"Marco... I love it!" She smiled as she hugged him tightly.

He hugged back and Eclipsa and Globgor let out an audible 'awwww!~'

"But Marco... how on Mewni did you afford this...?" Star asked.

"He was Mewni's paperboy for the last... how long, Marco?" Eclipsa asked.

"About 7 months..." Marco murmured shyly.

Star's jaw dropped.

"Y-you worked all that time... for me...?" She asked.

"Yeah... I'd do it all again..." Marco smiled.

Star blushed and looked away. She looked... majestic, in Marco's eyes. Like some kind of angel...
