"Sehun was right today. Sometimes, we can't blame others for being too cold-blooded. We can only blame ourselves for being too weak," Jennie snuggled in his arms, carelessly and softly speaking.

Jennie was slightly drunk today. Lisa stared at her for a long while without speaking before he carried her into the villa.

After entering, her arms remained around his neck as she looked at his handsome face. "I need to work harder... hard enough so I can chase up to your footsteps... so I can work hard to support my new life..."

The two words, 'new life' caused the man to pause momentarily. It was only a short moment before he carried her into the room, leaning down to place her on the bed.

Looking at the little woman's dazed eyes, he propped himself up by the bed to watch her, calmly saying, "You're not allowed to touch alcohol again."

It seems like in the future, even if it was just a cake, he had to taste it first to be sure.

He was taking back the promise he made previously about the cake.

"Lisa."

"Hm?"

"I want to become stronger."

"..."

"I want to become more capable."

"..."

"I want to become capable enough so I wouldn't have to rely on anyone's sympathy or help. So, I can completely be in charge of my own life. I need to become strong enough, so I won't be fearful of any risk for life and death. I also want..."

The man abruptly kissed her, pressing her words back.

Jennie was originally drunk. After being kissed for a while, she really could not speak and kept quiet. She closed her eyes and held his neck.

Jennie fell asleep very quickly, while Lisa lowered his head to watch her.

Jennie woke up in the middle of the night to discover that Lisa was not by her side. She sat up and rubbed her slightly messy hair before climbing off the bed. She pushed aside the study door and the balcony windows but could not find Lisa.

Standing on the balcony, she looked down at the Yu Garden's parking area and saw the black Ghost was not parked in its position. She was not sure when it had been driven away.

She did not have any intention of being drunk today, but after mixing the fruit wine in the cake with the alcohol in the fruit juice, she was left with a headache even after sleeping.

She stood on the balcony for several minutes, but the cold air did not help; her head still ached painfully. She rubbed her forehead and turned to return to the room. After closing the windows and falling back into bed, she grabbed her phone to call Lisa. However, she only heard the sound of a woman's voice going, "I'm sorry. The number you've dialed is currently unavailable..."

Jennie tossed her phone to the side. Her head was really aching badly, so she grabbed a pillow and pressed it heavily against her scalp, forcing herself to continue sleeping.

At this moment, the black Ghost was speeding down the road. Lisa called Sehun.

The call was quickly connected. Sehun was slightly tipsy from drinking, and his tone was lazy. "I thought that after sending Jennie back, you would start a passionate fire with your woman at home and wouldn't have the time to head out again."

Lisa: "..."

He initially did not plan on leaving Jennie alone at home. However, the woman was drunk and would occasionally spout nonsense. She was also on her period, and after helping her shower, he felt wide awake. If it weren't because of it, he would not have left just because of a call from Sehun.
