Chapter 4: Keeper Of The Garden Of Wonders, Floroso Garday
Aaron headed inside to see a man with green hair and wearing green, purple and pink.
"Hello! Welcome To Fresh Flowers!" Aaron said, "Where we plant our flowers fresher than the morning sun!"
The man was confused. Aaron chuckled.
"Well… We're still working on that little jingle of our's." He said,
"Understandable." The man said,
"Ooh! I like your choice of colors!" Wios said,
"Appreciate it."
"So, how can we help you?" Lato asked,
"Well, you three are related to the Flower Humans and the Season Elves, correct?"
"Yeah?"
"Why?" Aaron wondered, "Is there something wrong?"
"My name is Floroso Garday." Floroso said, "Keeper of The Garden Of Wonders. My family has had a history with being the teachers to any Flower Humans."
"Really?"
"How do we know that?" Wios asked,
"You want proof, correct?" Floroso wondered, "Hold on a second."
Floroso pulled out a magical book with vines growing over it. He scrolled through the pages by using his magic automatically.
"Woah!" Wios said, "What a book!"
Floroso then landed on the last of the pages of the book and showed Aaron and his friends something.
"My father trained Barney Petali to face the dark lord." He said,
Aaron gasped.
"Hey! Barney Petali is my father!" He said,
"Really?" Floroso said, "Do you have proof?"
"I sure do! Wait here!"
Aaron went into his office to grab a picture of himself as a kid with his mother and father next to him. He then went back to Floroso and showed him the picture.
"Here you are!" Aaron said,
Floroso looked at the photo and looked at Barney's face, which was actually Aaron's father. He smiled.
"So that's the family he wanted to protect." He said, "And before his death, he took them to Earth for their safety."
"Yeah…" Aaron said, "I was lost as a child when I heard that my father died…"
"I am so sorry for your loss… …Uhh, what is your name?"
"Aaron. Aaron Petali."
"Right, I am so sorry for your loss, Aaron."
"Thanks, Floroso…"
Floroso then closed the book.
"Now then, let's move on to something." He said, "Do you have a garden, Aaron?"
"I do." Aaron replied, "Follow me, everyone!"
They all headed out back to the garden. Floroso chuckled as he looked at the garden.
"Impressive!" He said, "You are just like your father, Aaron!"
"Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!" Aaron happily said,
"What rare flowers you got… May I take a look?"
"Sure!"
Suddenly, they heard some sort of barking. It didn't sound like a dog, but more of a repetitive screech. They turned to a flower that was making that barking!
"What the heck is that?!" Wios shouted,
"Oh my!" Aaron shouted, "I never made one of these before!"
Floroso went on one knee to look at the flower. It almost bit his hand as Floroso quickly avoided it when trying to touch it.
"Hmm, it appears to be a bad seed." He said,
"A bad seed?" Aaron wondered,
"Right. Every couple of good flowers you planted, there's a slight chance that a bad flower would grow under the seeds you planted and watered."
"So… I have planted bad flowers in my life, huh?"
"Ha ha, I'm sorry, but this is my first time with the son of Barney Petali."
"Oh yeah, I forgot."
Aaron thought to himself.
"During my time, I don't think I have ever planted a bad flower." He said,
"Maybe that's because your powers have grown overtime." Floroso said, "And since you've controlled them, they have gone… Weak."
"Weak?"
"Let's just say that during your time as a kid and a teen, your powers were powerful, but haven't really been used by you. And sometimes when you do, you mass grow a lot of rare and powerful flowers. Then, when you're an adult, which is what you are, you're in complete control of your flowers. However, that weakens them and has a side effect, which is that the bad flowers might have a chance of appearing."
"Oh, now I understand, but that's a lot of knowledge."
"Indeed."
"By the way, how many customers have you gotten to your little flower shop?"
"Not a lot, but we do have a fair share of money earned."
"I see… Hmmm, let me see which ones I can buy and take home with me. But first…"
Floroso snapped his fingers on the bad flower and made it go asleep.
"Let me take care of the bad flower back in my garden." He said,
"Sounds good. That bad flower is for you." Aaron said, "For free, that is."
"Appreciate it. I'll be back, so I'll see you later."
Aaron and Floroso shook hands.
"Goodbye for now, Floroso!" Aaron said, "See you back here soon!"
Floroso left with the bad flower in a plastic bowl.
"This will be a good defense in case he tries to burn my garden alive…" He said with a serious look,
