Chapter 22: The Team Has Been Assembled, Adventure Awaits In Dead Center Forest!
It's been a day since the plan to find The Golden Snapdragon has failed due to the demons Ghoulexis mentioned.
Aaron was working in Fresh Flowers with Suzan.
"Man… We really didn't expect demons to take that Golden Snapdragon we were looking for…" Aaron said,
"I can't believe this Dark Lord we're hearing is gonna be on a rampage when we at least expect…" Suzan said,
Floroso comes in.
"Hi, welcome to– Floroso!" Aaron said as he was stunned, "Fancy seeing you here!"
"Aaron… Suzan…" Floroso said, "I would like to meet you two somewhere… Bring two more allies of your's Aaron. I'll be waiting for you outside of this flower shop."
"R-Right! Me and Suzan will be on it! We were just done with working here for the day!"
"Take your time, you two."
Floroso then left the shop. Aaron took a deep breath.
"Well, Lato and Wios are still busy with Poroku." Aaron said,
"Can that Ghoulexis girl come?" Suzan wondered, "She could be a good installment to our little team."
"Oh yeah! That's who I was thinking about! …Maybe Travis can come too!"
"That fashion icon from Magecliff?"
"Yeah?"
"Hmm… We'll just see how the two feel about an adventure we might go on…"
Meanwhile, in a dark and red place, Renombre was on one knee as he was talking to his Dark Lord, whose face was covered in the shadows.
"My Lord…" Renombre said, "We got The Golden Snapdragon that's destined to make you powerful…"
"Yes…" The Dark Lord said, "But you didn't do it, you were stopped on your path."
"My Lord, I tried to stop them, that Ghost Girl was fast and thankfully some of your demons got it before she did!"
"Hmph! My demons work twice as hard as you and your cheeky ass."
"Cheeky? Well, I guess I am cheeky…"
"Leave, I need time to think."
"Y-Yes, my Lord."
Renombre walked out of The Dark Lord's throne room. He looked at the Golden Snapdragon next to him on a little table.
"Someday, I will get my revenge on you…" He said, "And then, that Flower Boy will be mine…"
Later, Aaron and Suzan brought Travis and Ghoulexis along with them back to Fresh Flowers.
"I didn't know you own a flower shop, Aaron." Ghoulexis said,
"Well now you know." Suzan said,
"You should buy one there, Ghoulexis." Travis said, "The flowers are amazing!"
"Aww, thanks for the feedback, Travis." Aaron said,
"I might as well once Floroso is done telling us what's going on and why you are bringing us here." Ghoulexis said,
They all arrived outside of Fresh Flowers as Floroso was waiting for them.
