Chapter 31: The Ferocious Maze, The Animal Of Gluttony Attacks!
Aaron and his friends were then running to the exit of the haunted house, only for it to disappear.
"Oh come on! Not again!" Aaron shouted,
Aaron and his friends then turned to see Spellisa, again.
"Just let us leave!" Aaron shouted,
"Not gonna happen." Spellisa said, "In order to really prevent that from happening, I'm gonna have to break your minds."
"Break our minds?!"
"Break your minds!"
Spellisa then took off her hat.
"Oh no you don't!" Suzan shouted as she got out her mallet, "Take this!"
Spellisa disappeared and reappeared behind them and made them disappear with a swipe from her magical hat. She put her hat back on and laughed a bit.
"Too slow!" She shouted, "You were always slow since the beginning!"
Aaron and his friends then appeared in a small room.
"Oh God, I'm getting dizzy… That bloody rabbit girl kept trying to ruin our time…" Ghoulexis said as she, Travis and Aaron were getting dizzy, "How long are they gonna keep us here in this bloody carnival for?"
"I don't know…" Aaron said, "But we really gotta get out of here!"
Aaron looked at a door with the sign, "Start" on it.
"Oh boy, wonder what they're gonna do with us next." He wondered,
Aaron opened the door to reveal a path with two paths connecting at the end.
"What's this?" He wondered, "Do we gotta go down that path?"
"Guess we gotta." Travis replied,
Aaron and his friends then walked down the path. There, they hit an end as they looked and saw two paths on their left and right.
"Wait… Is this a maze?" Aaron wondered,
"It seems likely…" Travis replied, "Which path should we take first?"
Aaron thinks for a moment.
"I think we should take the right path." He said, "If there's a dead-end there, then we'll take the left path."
Aaron and his friends then took the right path. Something then came out of the left path as he was growling to himself and clawed the walls of the left path, revealing his cat-like claws.
"They don't know that I'm here…" He said, "And that I'm hungry for their flesh…"
Aaron and his friends then turned a path as they saw two more paths. A center path and a right path.
"Well, this really is a maze." Aaron said,
"Right, so… Which path are we taking next?" Ghoulexis wondered,
"Hmm… Guess we can take the right path again."
Aaron and his friends then took another right path. It leads them to a dead end.
"Darn it, a dead end!" Aaron said, "Right, let's go back and take–"
Suddenly, they heard a howl and jumped.
"Who's there?!" Suzan shouted,
"Is someone following us?!" Aaron shouted,
"Let me check."
As Suzan peaked her head out, something launched at her, but Suzan quickly put herself back in the group.
"Yup, someone is definitely following us!" She shouted, "It looks like it was a he, and he tried to attack me!"
Everyone came out and saw some sort of chimera monster in blue and yellow. He looked at Aaron and his friends and smiled.
"Welcome to my maze." He said, "Call me Fenris."
"What do you guys want now?!" Aaron shouted, "We just want to get out of here!"
Fenris clenched his teeth.
"Heh, let's just say that it's only business." He said,
"Business on what?!" Ghoulexis said, "What bloody business are you all investing in?!"
"...That's something The Ringmaster should only tell you. For now, here I come!"
Fenris then ran towards Aaron and his friends. Aaron and his friends then moved out of harm's way as Fenris stopped and turned to them.
"Well, playing this lovely game your way, huh?" He said to them, "Fair! Because this is only gonna get serious!"
Fenris's scorpion stinger then started to grow longer as Fenris went on all fours.
"Ok…" Aaron said in fear, "We gotta move. Now."
Aaron and his friends then started to run as Fenris started to growl.
"Try and run, but I'll still find you!" Fenris shouted, "I know every layout in this maze! …Since it's mine! Just wait and see!"
Aaron and his friends then ran to another dead end.
"Great! Another dead end!" Aaron said, "Where do we go from here?!"
"Ghoulexis, can you turn into a ghost and find the exit?" Suzan asked,
"Crikey, you guys shouldn't have told me to use my ghost powers since we started this bloody maze!" Ghoulexis replied,
"Well now we are!"
"Alright, leave it to me!"
Ghoulexis then turned into a ghost and floated up in the air. She looked around and saw the exit.
"There we are!" She said as she looked at how to get there from where she and her friends were currently at, "Hmmm… Let's see…"
Fenris meanwhile saw Ghoulexis as a ghost from above.
"Damn it! They're cheating!" Fenris shouted, "Fine! I'll bring out some extra firepower! I always do that! I must eat their flesh! I must eat them up!"
Fenris then touches the walls of the maze. Then, he disappeared without the others knowing.
Spellisa was watching it all while on a magical cloud.
"Hmm…" She said, "They really are cheating… Fenris is gonna go get our Firebreather, huh? Well…"
Spellisa looked at a switch and chuckled menacingly.
"It's gonna be really fun this time." She said, "They don't know what to expect!"
