Chapter 48: Fighting Back Against The Golem!
Aaron and his friends then ran near a lake. They turned back and saw Snare.
“Ok, what now?!” Travis said, scared, “We cornered ourselves!”
“I guess we don't have a choice!” Justin said as he readied his electrical arm, “We're fighting back!”
Justin then attempts to punch Snare in the face, but Snare doesn't flinch. Justin was surprised.
“Are you deaf?” Snare asked him, “Electricity doesn't do anything to me.”
“D-Damn it!” Justin said, “I thought I would break your face to pieces!”
“Well even if you do, I would be dead by now. Anyways, here's more of my powers.”
Snare then stomps the ground as a blast of Snare's Orchestrated powers hit Justin and launches him back to Aaron and his friends.
“Oww…” Justin groaned in pain, “Almost got into the lake, which would have been a horrible experience…”
Snare chuckled.
“I'm glad those crystals that haven't shined in forever turned themselves into me.” They said, “Otherwise, I wouldn't be here.”
“That's your origin story, huh, mate?” Ghoulexis wondered, “You used to be crystals?”
“Apparently so.” Huet replied, “Those crystals were from a different cave during my time traveling as a ghost while figuring out my powers. They formed into rocks that created a golem like Snare here.”
“Huh, interesting.” Suzan said,
“So what do we do?” Aaron wondered, “How do we take care of them?”
“Snare is an irresistible force.” Huet replied, “The only way to knock them down is to launch their attacks back at them! What you all saw was what they did to attack Justin.”
“Scratch that! There's gotta be another way!” Ghoulexis said,
“I think I know what.” Suzan said as she got out her mallet, “Maybe I can bash them!”
“I guess try since that hammer is huge.” Huet said,
“It's not a hammer, it's a mallet!”
Suzan then rushed to Snare and tried to ram her mallet to Snare's abdomen of some sort, but Snare grabbed Suzan's hammer before she could even ram.
“My mallet!” Suzan said as she tried to let go, but Snare's hands were too strong, “No! What on Vothars is this?!”
Snare chuckled a bit.
“My strength is key.” They said,
Snare then pushed Suzan and her mallet near the lake. Suzan sighed in relief as she saw the lake.
“Oh! That could have been a horrible experience if I was in that lake!” She said,
Aaron and Travis then got Suzan back up.
“Thanks, you two.” Suzan said as she sighed, “Right, so how do we take Snare down?”
“We gotta reflect their attacks back at them.” Aaron said as he brought out his flowery sword, “And I think I know what to do.”
Aaron then walks forward to be face-to-face with Snare.
“You're the Flower Human.” Snare said to him,
“I am.” Aaron said, “And you're the golem of Cello's quartet, yeah?”
“I am, yes. Test your strength against mine!”
“I'll probably won't use my strength, but rather my strategy.”
“Then let's settle this!”
Snare then hops up and smashes the ground with their two feet. Then, everything started to shake.
“I'll just use my true power on you!” They said to Aaron,
Everyone was struggling to stay balanced, but everyone except for Aaron and Snare fell to the ground. Aaron was serious now. He clenched his flowery sword and waited for his chance to strike.
“Whatever they are doing, I gotta find a way to get them down and out!” Aaron said to himself,
Then, sharp tectonic walls started to form out of the ground and surrounded Aaron and Snare.
“Here we go!” Snare said, “Try and survive now!”
“That's your true power?” Aaron wondered, “Creating a little circle?”
“It's so you won't escape my attacks!”
“...Right.”
“Anyways, let's do this! I'll make my first attack on you as always!”
Snare then shot out their Orchestrated stone magic at Aaron by banging the walls like drums. Aaron ducked to avoid it and used his flowery sword to stab the ground.
“What was that move?” Snare wondered, “Stabbing the ground with your sword? That's not even considered a strategy from you!”
“Oh, really?” Aaron wondered with a smile, “Guess again.”
The flowery sword started to glow as flowers started to blossom and bloom all over the ground, the tectonic ring and even all over Snare. Share was in shock.
“OH NO!” They shouted, “They're all over me!”
Snare tried to shake the flowers off of them, but they held on like glue.
“No!” They shouted, “I can't get them off!”
Snare then looked at Aaron as they turned angry.
“Now I'm mad!” Snare said to him as they started up another attack, “You're gonna regret it!”
Aaron then readies his sword again as Snare was about to unleash another attack made out of their Orchestrated powers.
“Take this!” Snare shouted as they fired their attack at Aaron,
Aaron then used his sword to pierce the attack and absorbed it to create a powerful gloe. Aaron then used what he had to pierce Snare, breaking them to pieces. Then, the tectonic walls started to crumble as Snare was crumbled too. Travis as the others saw Aaron as he was victorious.
“Hey, he did it!” Travis said,
“Good!” Justin said, “But we have no time to celebrate! Let's get the hell out of here and find Cello! He should be around this forest! If not, then who knows where he is!”
Aaron and his allies all nodded in agreement as they left the area. Snare's remains then started to reform as they were slowly about to become whole again.
