Chapter 36: To The Rescue!
It was night.
Melinda and Floroso then quietly looked at Sage, who was fast asleep on a tree.
"Ok, he's fast asleep." Floroso whispered,
"Right, so now we just gotta find a way to bypass him." Melinda whispered, "Quietly."
"Hmm… Hey, can you bee monsters turn into actual bees?"
"Huh… I don't know that answer. I've been a queen for most of my life and I haven't really dived down my powers a lot lately, except for controlling other insects."
"Oh… Well then…"
Melinda thinks for a second or two.
"I can try though." She said,
"Ok then, let's see if it's possible." Floroso said,
The two headed back to The Garden Of Wonders to see if it's possible for Melinda to turn into an actual bee.
"Now, this sort of power hasn't been used since my grandmother's time as ruler of Honacob." Melinda said, "My father was the only one in my royal family that didn't know about this power during a ruling."
"I see…" Floroso said,
"Now, it's all about chanting some ancient Votharian words."
"Oh! Interesting… Alright, let me backup."
Floroso backed up for space to give to Melinda. Melinda took a deep breath as she started speaking the ancient Votharian words.
"Buduzo-buzzazi, wanassakiss, beestamma!" She shouted,
Then, a yellow magical and glittering cloud started to swirl around Melinda. Floroso was surprised while watching it all. Then, when the magical clouds faded away, Floroso saw Melinda as a big bee!
"Woah! It worked!" Floroso said, "It actually worked!"
Melinda buzzed around Floroso.
"Oh, you're not saying anything since you're a bee." He said, "You can still hear what I'm saying, right?"
Melinda nodded her head.
"Alright, good." Floroso said, "Let's try and go past Sage without waking him up."
Floroso then quietly went back into Dead Center Forest with Melinda as a bee. There, they saw Sage still sleeping on a tree.
"Ok, let's quietly walk by and head to The Twilight Carnival." Floroso whispered to Melinda, "Can you try not to buzz?"
Melinda nods her head.
"Alright… I'll go first…" Floroso said, "Here I go…"
Floroso then quietly walked past a sleeping Sage. Floroso then looks at Sage as he is still sleeping. Floroso then gives out a thumbs-up to Melinda. Melinda then buzzed quickly to Floroso. Sage looked like he was about to wake up, but as the buzzing stopped when Melinda landed on Floroso's right shoulder, Sage went back to sleep as if he didn't hear anything. Floroso took a deep breath.
"Excellent, we bypassed Sage." Floroso whispered, "Next stop, The Twilight Carnival."
Floroso and Melinda then headed to The Twilight Carnival. There, they hopped over the fence and noticed that there weren't any guards watching.
