Chapter 42: Xunn In Poroku; Explaining Meloland
Xunn, the traveling Fire Elf and close friend to Ghoulexis, took the portal to Poroku thanks to Floroso and Melinda. When she arrived, she took a deep breath and exhaled happily.
“Ahh, Poroku, where Season Elves live peacefully without any worries.” She said, “...Except for those demonic creatures that attacked them a while ago…”
Xunn then entered as she was assigned by Floroso and Melinda to do something. Xunn went to a table of Autumn Elves. Yeishin was there.
“Hey, can I ask you three sometime?” Xunn asked them,
“Yeah?” Yeishin wondered, “What is it?”
“Do you know anything about a Dark Art Circus?”
“No?”
“Doesn't ring a bell.” Another Autumn Elf replied,
“Oh, ok, thanks.” Xunn replied,
“Hey, what even brings you here about this whole circus thing?” Yeishin wondered,
“Floroso of The Garden Of Wonders and Queen Melinda of Honacob wanted me to find some answers on how these kind of circuses are made. That's all.”
“Maybe you should go to the library here in Poroku. They might have a book about it. Can't promise you that.”
“Cool! I'll go there right now! Thanks!”
“You're welcome.”
Xunn walked away as she then arrived at Poroku's Official Library. She was outside and saw a guard. She walked to her to ask him a question.
“Excuse me, where can I leave my staff?” She asked him,
“Right here with the other weapons.” The guard replied as he showed Xunn a long container of weapons,
“Right, thanks!”
“You're welcome.”
Xunn leaves her Fire Crystal Staff in the container and goes inside the library.
Inside, she was searching for a book on Dark Art Circuses.
“There should be one that Melinda and Floroso have told me about…” She said, “They never got a book like that, but hopefully I can find one, read it and tell them about it.”
A Summer Elf looked at Xunn.
“Hello, traveler!” She said to her, “What are you doing here in our village's library?”
“Searching for a book about Dark Art Circuses.” Xunn replied back,
“Oh! I think I can help you with that!”
“Really?”
“Indeed! Here, follow me, I know where I can find one for you!”
“Right behind ya!”
Xunn then follows the Summer Elf to a table in a corner of the library. There, the Summer Elf brushed off the dust from a book she had.
“I was just reading about it.” She said to Xunn, “Does this book sound like what you're looking for?”
The Summer Elf then showed Xunn the book. It was titled, “A Performance Of Sins & Darkness”
“Ah! Here we are!” Xunn replied, “Thank you!”
