Chapter 39: A New Day, Lucas's Revenge?!
It was the next day.
Aaron and his allies were done camping as they were eating food provided by Xunn.
"I always have plenty with me." Xunn happily said, "And I'm always hungry, so I bring food with me a lot. Cooked or uncooked for me to cook later."
"Glad you managed to give us food." Aaron said,
"Don't worry, I always give out food to anyone in dire need."
"By the way, what were you doing in The Twilight Carnival last night?" Floroso wondered,
"Looking for Ghoulexis. I heard some magical explosions going off in The Twilight Carnival, so I had to go there and see if she was there."
"You really cared about me, huh, mate?" Ghoulexis said,
Xunn laughed a bit.
"Come on, Ghoulie, we've been friends for a while!" She replied,
"Heh heh, for like a year or two." Ghoulexis said as she shared a laugh as well,
"So, thanks for the food." Aaron said,
"Don't worry, it's cool." Xunn said,
"Now, you're all still on a hunt for The Golden Snapdragon, yes?" Floroso wondered,
"Correct." Aaron replied, "Hopefully no one including Lucas gets in our way again…"
Lucas meanwhile was with his cult as they were discussing about how to deal with Aaron.
"Now, that Flower Boy is out in Dead Center Forest." He said to them, "And our carnival thankfully is near it."
"What do we do against him?" Sage wondered,
"That's what puts us in a pickle… Hmm…"
Spellisa puts her arms on Lucas.
"Darling, we will get him." She said to him,
"Yes, we will…" Lucas said, "But I feel like we need to be split into 2 groups."
"Not a bad idea. Who will you be taking to Dead Center Forest with?"
"Hmmm… I want to take 2 or 3 of us here…"
"Ok, 2 or 3 of us are gonna be lucky enough to be out in the open with our Ringmaster!" Spellisa said with pride,
Lucas chuckled.
"Now, let's see who's coming with me…" He wondered as he turned to Spellisa, "Wanna come with me?"
"Hmm… I want to sit this one out." Spellisa said, "I've had enough Prideful magic to bring out."
"Understandable, my beautiful bunny."
Lucas looked at his cult.
"Anyone want to come with me to find that Flower Boy?" He wondered,
Sage, Webbo and Marie raised their hands.
"Oh, not bad…" Lucas said, "Alright, Sage, Webbo and Marie will come with me while Spellisa stays with Edan and Fenris."
"Why can't I come with you guys?" Edan wondered,
"Because your flames might burn the forest down." Spellisa replied,
