*Gus Above*
"Did Anne ask about me?" Gus's asked as I struggled to hold all the cups and mugs to the washing bin. Serona had asked I help around since 'school wasn't really a thing at the moment' and that 'it'll keep me from doing dumb things' Sebastian had said.
"No Gus, Willa why not go home for a bit?" I asked.
"But I want to stay and help!" Willa protested.
"Are you sure? She didn't even glance around the room?" Gus asked over Willa.
"Gus she was asleep for 6 months, a ten year old boy was probably not on her mind. Willa I'm not sure what being back this long will do to you." I put everything down and looked at her, "even just for a little. And if anything happens, I promise, I'll come get you." Gus scoffed at my answer while Willa continued to pout. "It'll be safer as well."
"Danger is my middle name!" Willa slammed her fist on the bar earning a dirty look from Serona.
"I don't think it is," I smiled.
"Where are you going?" Anne asked sitting next to Willa which seemed to scare the daylights out of her.
"I'm trying to convince Willa to go to her home time for a little. I don't want Isadora getting her. And since the boys won't listen to me, I'm hoping she will."
Serona poured some butter beer and placed it in front of Anne. She mumbled something about making cookies and hurried off to the back.
"Where is everyone?" Anne asked.
"Your Poppy went to go check on the twins. I guess they are with your version of Natty. Your uncle Marc was here a little while ago but he and Andre went to go check a lead. Not sure where my dumbass boys went. Sebastian basically told Serona to not let me leave," I rolled my eyes.
"Hi Anne!" Cerus said as he hurried in with a bunch of scrolls. "I'm glad you woke up."
"And El," Anne asked.
"I'm hoping that's who the boys are tracking down,"
Anne sighed and looked at Willa, "I'll go with you if you want?"
"What?" Everyone except Cerus asked. Gus looked offended.
"Why?" Willa asked.
Anne simply shrugged. "I'm not much help without my wand, and that way Sara can keep her word." She smiled at me. "It wouldn't be the first time I've been put in another timeline for my safety."
I played off the pros and cons in my head. "You're right, it would be safe for both of you."
Both girls smiled with excitement.
Cerus walked up to me equally smiling, "I have a lead," he whispered.
"Alright girls, I'll open a door."
_______
I was getting better at doors. I was quiet proud of myself. As it opened the girls both peeked in before turning to me.
"Will El be mad I haven't seen him yet?" Anne asked.
"No, it's for your safety, I'm sure he'll understand." I assured her."
The girls looked at me one last time before both stepping in and leaving me alone behind the three broom sticks. As the door disappeared the smile on my face slowly did too.
Cerus looked up at me, "Sara?"
If Anne isn't here.. I won't feel as guilty with what I'm planning to do. I looked at Cerus, "let's follow that lead."
