BELLY POV
its been 2 weeks of us being here at cousins. We still havent heard from jere yet. Moms been inviting cleveland around, hes pretty nice and conrad approved. I love that hes close to my mom. My heart aches, because in a week ill have to say goodbye to here again, goodbye to conrad. Its a friday night, and while normally wed all be out, theres a really bad storm out. Theres lots of rain, wind, and lightning, so nobodys going out. We decided to have a movie night in, shaylas here too. Im glad ive had her this summer.

"We should get pizza," i say to noone in particular. shayla agrees with my suggestion as does steven.

"not to be an ass, maybe a little, but who do you think is delivering pizzas right now belly? seriously who?" conrad says and we all laugh.

"Where theres a will, theres a way" i reply.

"youre laugh is angelic" he flashes me his smile, and i go weak.

"We got frozen pizzas!" steven calls from the kitchen.

"is there hawaiian?"

"yeah, and supreme ill make both" he replies.

We decide to watch a movie called hereditary. "Ive heard its pretty messed up," steven says pressing play.

"well see," conrad rolls his eyes. Somehow nothing yet everything phases conrad. Its part of his subtle charm. That non cha lont attitude gets us both in trouble.

When the pizzas are ready i get up to get them, conrad follows.
"want some help?" he offers.
i nod. we each cut a pizza, and dish some out on plates.

"thanks bells!" shayla beams. i feel a pang of sadness, because jere always called me bells.

"Youre welcome shay" i reply hoping she doesnt sense my sadness. My sadness ends the second i look into conrads eyes.

"I hope he gets his sister to the hospital okay" im talking about the movie. Then my jaw drops, as they run into a pole, with her heads out.

Conrad covers my eyes, "you cant see this" he slightly panics. I think its cute how hes protective in the simpliest of ways. Sometimes its overbearing though.

"oh whatever" i smack his hand away. I deeply regret looking at the screen.
"nope nope nope" i start gagging.

"i told you" conrad retorts. "here, drink this," he hands me his water.

"That was horrifying!" i exclaim.

"belly shut the fuck up" steven shouts with annoyance at me. i roll my eyes in response. 

"you shut up," conrad says teasing.

"make me!" steven fires back

Shayla and i laugh.

"just kiss already!" I go along with the joke. Shayla is not amused she just shakes her head.

"cmere connie baby," steven blows him a kiss.

"In your dreams stevo!"
I havent seen any of us this happy since the fight at brown.

After the movie ends, we decide we all need therepy."ive seen things, i cant ever unsee" i shiver. Ill be sending steven the therepy bill since it was his idea to watch the movie.

"Yeah same" shayla nods wide eyed.

"yeah that movie held up, it was very fucked up" conrad notes. He was the only one of us that didnt jump once. Even steven got startled a few times.

Shayla goes to the bathroom."i should pee too" i say going to the one upstairs.

Im washing my hands, when a huge thunder clap, and lightning strike happens. i jump back because i get instantly startled, the lights go out. My heart starts pounding fast, and i get anxious.
