Activity 6: What I learned

Enumerate 10 learnings you learned from the lessons above.

1. I have learned that action research is either research initiated to solve an immediate problem or a reflection process of progressive problem solving that integrates research, action, and analysis.

2. I have learned that action research develops reflection practices based on the interpretations made by participants. It includes the plan or strategy to address the focus of the research.

3. I have learned that in writing action research, the title should reflect the scope of the study and it should be limited to 12-15 words. Avoid or minimize the use of articles for reference and it must be catchy and interesting for readers. It should have universal characters and avoid the abbreviations, and the action research title must accurately reflect the most important result or objectives in your research.

4. I have learned that in writing action research, the introduction part includes the background of the problem, the innovations, interventions and strategies that have made, and the action research question.

5. I have learned that the introduction part of the action research should be context-based, rationale, and it should have the general concept, description, purpose, and significant of your study.

6. I have learned that in writing action research, the methodology part is all about the action research methods. It includes the participants and other sources of data and information you have gathered, and it also includes the data gathering methods or the research method you use in conducting your action research.

7. I have learned that in writing action research, the result and discussion part includes the results and discussions of your research. The results and discussions should be synchronized with the statement of the problem, and you should be organized the problems and answers you have gathered.

8. I have learned that in writing action research, in conclusion part, you should make a conclusion out of the results you have made or gathered.

9. I have learned that in writing action research, in the recommendation part, you should make a recommendation based on your conclusion you have made.

10. I have learned that action research is a knowledge that is created through action and application. Action research can be based in problem-solving, the solution to the problem results in the improvement of practice.

Activity 7: Problems and Solutions

Think of 5 problems from your family, school or community that you had or have wanted to solve.

1. Unproper waste disposal in our neighborhood
1.) Gives free garbage bags/sacks to neighborhood every waste disposal day and teach them to segregate their garbages.

3. Family financial problems due to pandemic
3.) Budgeting the money, save water, save electricity and unplugged appliances after using it, and avoid buying unnecessary things. Always buy the needs of the family and not the wants.

4.) Do your school activities during the scheduled subject time to avoid procrastion in meeting your deadlines or always to your school activities ahead of time. Do first your school activities before spending your time in other things like social media.

5.) Save water, save electricity, unplugging the appliances after using it, avoid burning plastics and stop/avoid using plastics, stop spending too much time on your phones and gadgets, always do proper waste management, don't throw your garbage in any kind of body of water, and plant trees.

1. do you think that prioritizing your mental health is a must? why?
> Yes, beacuse meantal health is as important as our physical health, and I believe that prioritizing your mental health is as form of self love.

2. are you facing some mental health issues right now?
> not really but it rarely happens when I am overthinking things around me or in my mind that gives me so much stress.

what mental health issue is it?
> it's anxiety but it rarely happens

how long have you been experiencing it?
> when covid19 pandemic happened.

3. how are you handling and coping up with that?
> Distracting myself from reality, or I am coping up with it by doing the things that I like or enjoy such as reading, social media, or doing things that doesn't give me stress.

4. are you the type of person who's sharing your problems/struggle or do you prefer to keep it yourself? why?
> I am the type of person that doesn't share my problems/struggles to anyone that's why I prefer to keep it in myself, because I can confidently overcome it eventually and immediately forgotten it overtime. It doesn't bother me that hard.
