1. CONTEXT situation, setting, environment, time.
a. Physical context - Material, objects surrounding the communication event.b. Social context - relationship between the speaker and the listener
c. chronolocical context - time & timing of the conversation
2. SENDER is the one who conveys the message. oral or written. Employs a combination of symbolk which may be verbal or non-verbal like graphs. pictures and other visuals
3. MESSAGES is the information the sender communicates to the receiver are the ideas & feelings that make up the content of the communication process
4. CHANNEL is the medium or means though which the message is transmitted - The Channel for oral comm. is the sound waves written through light waves - The primary channels in Face- to-face communication are sound & sight Public announcements & advertisements are sent through radio waves in the mass media.
Other channel communicate non-verbal messages through the use of other human senses such as touching, smelling and tasting.
5. RECEIVER is the one who listens and decodes the conveyed message.
6. FEEDBACK is the receiver's message that nel she sends to the source in response to the sender's message.
7. NOISE also known as the interference that keeps a message from being under stood or accurately interpreted.

• includes traditional pens paper, letters & documents, typed electronic documents, e-mails. text chats, sms, and anything else conveyed through written symbols includes handbooks, brochures, contracts, memos, Formal business proposals and the like.
• its effectiveness depends on the writing style, grammar and vocabulary.2. Oral Communication
• refers to the spoken words, either Face-to-face of through phone, voice chat, video & conferencing or any other medium through oral message. include lecture, conference, discussions, formal & informal conversations
• its effectiveness depends on the clarity of speech, Voice modulation, pitch, volume, speed, etc.
