Luke and Sabrina were sitting in bed, Sabrina was putting her hair up in a ponytail and Luke was plugging in his phone and Apple Watch.

Luke sat back after wards watching Sabrina put on moisturizer on her arms and hands.

"Do you think Elsie's been acting weird lately?"

"No, I don't think so. She seems to be alright, why do you think somethings wrong?"

"I just think she's acting a little off. I made her her favorite foods two days in a row and she hardly ate any of it. Then I noticed for maybe two or three weeks now that If I'm home for dinner, she doesn't go outside to practice on the mats in the yard like she would. School starts soon and the competitions come up fast, usually she's ahead of everything. I'm a little worried about her." Luke voiced his concerns as his wife listened to him.

"Hmm, now that you mentioned it I have noticed that a few times. She seems to be lacking in her chores and seems very mopey after she comes home from work, it does seem unlike her."

Luke sat for an extra minute before getting up, "Luke where are you going?"

"Elsie's room, I want to check on her." Luke left and went up the stairs to where his eldest daughter's room was.

He used the back of his hand to knock on the door, "Elsie, are you still awake? Can I come in?"

He awaited for a response, "yeah come in" she responded and Luke opened the door and walked in. She was watching Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix but she paused it when her father walked in.

"Whatcha doing? Watching Netflix?"

"Yep, finally watching Julie and the Phantoms."

"That's good, so umm, I wanted to ask you how's everything? Are you okay? Is there something bothering you?" He looked at her very concerned.

""I'm good, those six year olds I'm in charge of just tire me out."

"Oh I get that, that age group can drain you. But at least there's only two and a half weeks left then you'll be able to relax and unwind before school starts."

"Yeah you're right."

"Are you sure you're alright?"

"Yeah I'm just tired, I had a long day. I just want it to be the weekend already."

"Okay, I'll let you get some rest, goodnight."Luke kissed her and waved leaving the room.

Luke still felt uneasy about her answers and behaviors deciding that it was time to go consult Eloise who typically knew anything and everything, she was like the insider of the family and would confess to things a lot of the others would not.

Luke went to the other side of the hall knocking on Eloise's door. "Who is it?" She asked in the midst of flipping through channels on her TV. "It's Daddy, can I come in."

"Of course!" She exclaimed and he went in shutting the door behind himself.

"Is there something wrong daddy?"

And Luke went straight into the whole thing. "Do you think Elsie's been acting weird?

"No"she said it in an awkward tone.

"Are you sure? Because you don't sound too sure."

She went silent.

"If you know something it's important you tell me. I won't be mad at you I just don't want stuff kept from me."

He gave her a few minutes and Eloise's facial expression changed.

"Elsie told me I had to keep a secret." Luke raised one of his eyebrows.
