Gaby was sitting in her basement typing on her laptop when she heard foot steps above. "Hello" she called out but the foot steps got louder and closer making her on edge.

Suddenly the figure appeared, apologizing for possibly scaring her. "I should've told you that I was stopping by Gaby but I wanted to surprise you."

"Luke you nearly scared me half to death!" She playfully slapped his shoulder when he came near her. "I literally thought you were an intruder! I wasn't expecting anyone today, honestly!"

"Oh sorry again, I still had a spare key and wanted to surprise you."

Luke sat down, crossing his legs, looking at Gaby. "Sorry for not communicating a lot lately so much has been going on."

Gaby sighed, looking at Luke, "yeah I know, you don't have a lot of time left"

"Oh about that, I was thinking we should do a podcast together like old times? Is that okay? I just need somewhere where I can vent and be unrestrained."

"Yes of course. Just let me get everything together and we can do one even though I already did a scheduled one for the week." She half smiled and got up looking for headphones her camera and other supplies while Luke remained sitting with his legs crossed looking all over the room, he liked the decor a lot because he had this mesmerized expression upon his face.

Gaby was all set up within ten minutes handing Luke a pair of headphones as he was adjusting his microphone. "Hey guys, it's Gaby again, looks like this week is gonna be a two episode week because Luke spontaneously stopped by and he's one of my best friends so I can't say no to him" she smirked at the end of her sentence, Luke smirked too since he was ready to go now.

"Thanks for allowing me to do this Gaby. Again, sorry for accidentally startling you when I arrived."

"It's fine, I'm good now. Let's get into it, how are you? Are you doing any better?"

"Actually I am. Loads better actually."

"Wow! I love the positivity in your voice. I guess you're trying to spend your last days happy and full of life and love?"

"Not exactly." Now Luke scooted to the edge of his seat a smile beginning to form on his face. "Actually apart of the reason why I came to surprise you is because a few days ago I found out I'm cancer free."

"Wait what?" Gaby replied covering her mouth in a shocked way. "Yep, it's true, I'm officially cancer free!"

"No fucking way, Luke! That's awesome!" Gaby got up, and went over to hug her best friend, "thank you for being so supportive through all of this. I never knew there would be a positive out come."

"It takes a lot of courage and determination to make it out on top."

"The last few weeks have been difficult, I'm just glad I can put all of that behind me. Well, I hope I can put it behind me." Luke sighed while looking at Gaby for a moment before looking in a different direction.

"Oh somethings wrong?"

"It's just my work situation, I started thinking about that and it's pissing me off"

"But I thought you liked your job and liked helping people?"

"I do, but there's some people who don't make it worth it at times. This has nothing to do with patients by the way, it has to do with the people you work with whether it's co workers or your higher ups. Not everyone is gonna be friendly and want to make things work smoothly."

"Oh so you're referring to workplace drama?"

"Sort of, I don't even know if I should call it that but I think I should finally clear the air and address this situation. Especially, when I've been the person who's been hurt by it."
