Luke complies dropping the weapon in the field taking the end of his Lieutenant following her orders by going in the back of the rig.
The ride was silent, Luke could barely look at her feeling an extremely sense of guilt come over him.
He didn't fight her when she checked him out documenting everything on an IPad until they pulled up to their destination.
Luke was directed to a small room with a cot instructed to give up his phone and whatever else he had in his pockets where he changed into pink scrubs, he rolled his eyes sitting down on the tiny cot which he barely fit on.
He leaned his head against the pillow and bent his knees hugging them just zoning out at the wall.
It was probably the most boredom he felt in ages. He would sit there practically along for almost five hours until a man with a long blonde fringe and white scrubs came waltzing in carrying a really really thick folder.
He dropped it on the chair accidentally creating a loud thud, enough noise to make Luke snap out of the trance he was in looking at the man who was starting to analyze him from a few inches away.
The blonde fringed man pointed at him and said "oh my god I know you!" Luke looked at him a bit confused.
"We got way back dude! Calums restaurant! When I briefly interned as a student medic with you all those years ago? Ring a bell yet, Captain Hemmings?"
Then it all clicked in Luke's head.
"Oh yeah! I do remember you now, I just didn't recognize you right away because of your hair." Luke tried to sound enthusiastic when he spoke but he still sounded a bit hurt as well.
"You're Michael right?"
"Yep, indeed I am. I'm head of the psychology department here now so it looks like I was assigned to your case. I did read some of your medical records and some of your therapy reports, they're lengthy to say the least."
Luke seemed a bit disappointed in himself.
"I'm sorry that you have to see me like this. I wish we caught up under different circumstances, Michael." Luke said sighing in between a few of his words.
"Seriously you don't need to be apologizing at all. In situations like this sorry shouldn't even be in your vocabulary. There is nothing to be sorry for when you're struggling and need help." Michael trailed off staring intently at his long time acquaintance and now patient. He wanted to make sure that Luke was giving him his full attention.
"Based on your past therapy notes this situation seems very unlike you. Today seems to be a very out of character moment for you. Have you ever had thoughts like this before? Have you ever acted upon intrusive thoughts?"
Luke started chewing on his lip briefly before speaking, "I don't think so"
Michael started to take notes on a small note book that he pulled from his pocket.
"Have you ever abused drugs or alcohol? Did you partake in any usage of anything this morning?"
"No"
Michael wrote more stuff down.
"Do you have active thoughts of wanting to kill yourself right now?"
"I don't think so"
"How about this morning? Were you planning on doing something to yourself this morning?"
