Things went from bad to worse for Luke in just a matter of days.

People harassed him on Facebook and in the street, usually people called him a hero now they were out there calling him a killer.

Skylars funeral took place yesterday morning which was Thursday, Luke and Elliot had been blacklisted From attending.

People in the community were also calling for Luke to resign from his job as Captain or wanted him fired. They truly believed Luke was responsible to what happened to Skylar. That was due to the fact of the rumors circulating on social media and around the town.

Luckily Luke had a group of people on his side making sure his job stayed.

The family was under relentless stress and it didn't seem like it was letting up any soon.

Despite everything going on it was Friday yet again which meant Luke had a day off, which also meant he had the house to himself, Sabrina was at work, his daughters were at school and his son was out and about doing whatever.

Luke was sitting on the couch for a super long time, legs crossed he felt on edge and kept looking at the clock and at his phone. The silence was killing him, his heart pounding inside his chest.

He tried to ignore everything and calm down but couldn't eventually loosing his grip on reality, he stormed up the stairs and then another flight of stairs to the attic finding a safe that he had hidden up there and typed in a six digit code unlocking it, pulling it open.

He pulled out what he needed and shoved it in his pants despite feeling uncomfortable. He walked down the first flight of stairs then the next grabbing his car keys off the counter storming out of the house and into his pick up truck.

He took off out of the driveway and down the road, driving erratically, honking people and weening in and out of traffic. He cursed and someone and went through a red light because he was impatient.

Eventually he pulled up to an open corn field and got out of the car leaving his keys in the ignition and his wallet on the dash board. He had his phone in one hand and he stuck his other hand down his pants and pulled out a gun.

He took the safety off and started walking through the corn crops, huffing and puffing. He stopped in the middle.

He typed something on his phone and it started ringing, someone answered it ten seconds later.

"9-1-1 what's your emergency?"

"I have a gun." He whispered breathing heavily still trying to catch his breath.

"What? Sir you need to speak up I can't understand you."

"I have a gun, I think I might shoot myself with it."

The dispatcher recognized his voice after he said that. "Captain Hemmings? That's who I'm speaking to?"

"Yeah"

"Do you know where you are so I can send you help?"

"No"

"Stay on the phone Luke, describe what where you are."

"Corn field."

"If you stay on the phone and keep talking I can ping your cellphone and trace your location. Where do you have the gun?"

"In my hand, Veronica."

"It's in your hand? Is it loaded?

"Yeah"
