"It's great to have you back, I missed being on the rig with you." Luke stated looking at his son who was just as thrilled as him to be back.

"Again I'm really sorry for saying all those things. I realized how hurtful those comments were to make especially the ones saying that I don't need you or don't want you. I'm still a kid, basically, I need you." Elliot apologized after so long.

"No no, it's alright. I'm over all of it."

"No dad, it isn't okay. You have given me so many opportunities and I nearly blew everything into pieces. I'm sorry."

"Again it's okay, Elliot. It's common for parents and teenagers to fight every now and then. I know that you never meant what you said to me."

"But I moved out and basically stopped talking to you. What does that mean?"

"You were mad, upset and wanted space. You have every right to feel all those things. Stop apologizing."

"There's one more thing Dad."

"What? What is it?"

"I love you, I fucking love you. Thank you for everything."

Luke grinned hearing those words, he hasn't heard them in a really long time. "I love you too Elliot. You're my kid, I'll never stop loving you."

They were approaching an intersection when the tones went off prompting them to put on the lights and sirens making all the other cars come to a screeching haunt as they sped by.

Eight minutes later they found themselves at Harpers Ferry which was a tiny town that happened to have a national historic park all in one. A lot of people camped, hiked and partook in other outdoor activities there.

The downside of it all was the size, the animals and the fact that getting lost was common. And if an an emergency arose it can take some time and resources to locate you or someone else.

This was a call that Luke never experienced before, pulling up to the gate of the National park, police already there.

Apparently a small group of people were zip lining threw the trees and someone in the group went missing in action. the zip lines were quite long and high up and went three and above trees, it's very easy to make a mistake get and lost or even stuck.

Now luke and Elliot were on foot carrying a bag each communicating on radios with the police.

A couple of hikers stopped them to see what was wrong and no one seemed to have any information.

"Be careful there's poison Ivy." Luke pointed out making sure him and Elliot stepped over it. "And watch out there's poison oak too."

They walked through trees and stepped over branches and plants periodically radioing any updates on the alleged lost person.

That all changed a little while later, when Elliot heard a loud scream. "Over there!" Elliot pointed and he was leaping over stuff running through the woods. Luke tried to keep up with him.

"Hey we're coming! Helps on the way!" Elliot called out following the voice trying to not waste anymore time.

When the two of them got to the person they were perplexed at what they saw. "What happened?" Elliot asked taking charge of the situation.

"Zip lining with friends, I don't know what happened." Luke and Elliot were standing over them, it looks like the patient had a zip lining accident.

Luke looked up seeing that it looked like the safety harness had broken resulting in the patient probably falling at least fifty feet.

The patient was flat on the dirt rocks and plants hyperventilating and freaking out. "Sir it looks like the zip line snapped and that you plummeted a good fifty feet or so." Luke stated the obvious beginning to asses for injuries. There was already visibly blood.
