"So, Jedi, you got a name?" Alex asked Obi-Wan.
"Obi-Wan," he replied.
"I'm Alex, pleasure to meet you," said Alex.
"I wish I could say the same, but I'm about to let you 'have a go' at my lightsaber, and I'm not too pleased about it," Obi-Wan remarked with air quotes.
As they walked toward Alex's ship, Obi-Wan remained very conscious of his surroundings, struggling to trust Alex, believing he might be walking into a trap. Alex's cheerful demeanor clashed with Obi-Wan's stressed state of mind, with his thoughts dominated by how furious his master would be.
"How did you end up here anyway?" Alex inquired.
"I fell asleep, and my ship hit an asteroid. I crashed here," he explained quietly, head hanging low, feeling utterly foolish about it.
Alex couldn't help but snicker, to which Obi Wan gave a dirty look, "Ah, well, happens to the best of us," Alex said, trying to console him, as she could see he was distraught.
"I guess," he mumbled under his breath, barely audible.
"Here we are!" she announced, standing in front of a massive red ship, stunning Obi-Wan.
"How did you manage to get this? Did you steal it?" he asked.
"No, I did not steal it!" she replied, offended.
"Does it have a name?" Obi-Wan inquired.
"Yup, I call it the Canary," she beamed.
They entered the ship. "Now, what can I hit?" she questioned, excitedly.
Obi-Wan was brought back to reality by this question. He had almost forgotten what he had to give in return while admiring the ship. He spotted a wooden box lying around and picked it up. "This."
"You're not serious," she said, disappointment on her face.
"You hitting this is the only way we'll have a chance you won't kill somebody," Obi-Wan teased.
"Fine."
Obi-Wan handed her the lightsaber cautiously, realizing that he had made a colossal mistake. If someone from the council saw him doing this, he would be kicked out of the Jedi Order.
She struggled with the button but finally got it open. The lightsaber lit up, and terror washed over Obi-Wan's face, deeply regretting his decision.
She, on the other hand, was ecstatic. She whooshed the lightsaber from side to side, causing Obi-Wan great panic.
"You're doing it wrong; let me help you," Obi-Wan said and went behind her, holding the lightsaber with her, his hands over hers, his body close to hers, his face peeking from behind her neck. He gently motioned the lightsaber left and right. "Like that, slowly."
Her cheeks turned pink; no guy had ever come this close to her, and if they had, she'd have pushed them away. But something about Obi-Wan made her never want to leave his touch.
She lightly motioned the lightsaber toward the wooden box and hit it. "Like that?" she said in a low voice.
"Yes, exactly," he whispered into her ear and smiled, sending shivers down her body. She quickly left his embrace and handed him the lightsaber.
"Thanks," she muttered quietly. "Now, let's get you to Coruscant!" she announced loudly, trying to dispel the tension.
"Yeah," Obi-Wan said, running his hands through his hair nervously. "Yes."
