Alex buried her face in her hands, seeking solace, and Obi-Wan enveloped her within his comforting embrace. After a brief moment, their faces were just centimeters apart, and he leaned in closer. He understood the gravity of their actions, the forbidden nature of their connection, but an irresistible force drew him nearer.
Their intimacy was abruptly shattered by the clashing of lightsabers, and they leaped apart, hearts racing. Beyond the cell, Anakin and Ahsoka were in a fierce duel with the droids, lightsabers cutting through metal and circuits.
Anakin's lightsaber struck the keypad, and the door swiftly slid open. Obi-Wan couldn't resist a touch of sarcasm, "Took you long enough."
Anakin rolled his eyes, "Sometimes, Master, a simple 'thank you' would be nice." The four of them proceeded down the hallway. The station had clearly become aware of their presence, and waves of battle droids emerged from all directions.
From her jacket, Alex pulled out a blaster and began firing, displaying growing proficiency in her marksmanship.
Suddenly, the eerie sounds of General Grievous's mechanical limbs sent shivers down their spines. They exchanged anxious glances.
"Anakin, get back to the ship. I'll handle him!" Obi-Wan shouted. Anakin, Ahsoka, and Alex sprinted toward the Canary, with Alex casting a concerned look back at Obi-Wan.
They hastily boarded the ship, and Anakin took the controls, maneuvering it toward the spot they'd last seen Obi-Wan. There, they found Obi-Wan locked in a fierce struggle with Grievous.
"Alex, maintain control of the ship. I'm going to help him. Snips, stay here!" Anakin commanded.
Alex and Ahsoka watched as the intense battle unfolded below. Obi-Wan and Anakin were holding their own against Grievous until hordes of droids joined the fight, leaving them outnumbered.
"We need to help them!" Ahsoka declared and dashed out of the ship. After a moment's hesitation, Alex left her seat, leaping onto the ground.
Obi-Wan and Anakin were badly injured. Grievous delivered a final, devastating blow to Obi-Wan, throwing him across the room with blood oozing from his head. Alex witnessed this, her anger surging as she shouted, "NO!"
Almost instinctively, she extended her hand, using the Force to hurl Grievous and several droids backward, catching everyone off guard. Obi-Wan winced in pain as he looked at her. Alex stared at her own hand, perplexed, experiencing the Force in an entirely new way.
"How did you do that?" Anakin asked distracted from the battle, looking at her with his eyebrows furrowed.
Though Ahsoka wondered the answer to that question herself, she saw a swarm of droids emerging from inside. "Master, Look!" She said pointing at it.
"Get back on the ship!" Anakin shouted rushing towards the Canary. Grievous struggled on the ground. Alex rushed to Obi-Wan's side, helping him up, and they all hurriedly boarded the Canary.
