Obi-Wan had waited a few minutes, debating whether he should check up on Alex. "Ah, no, I don't need to; it's not my business. But what if she needs someone?" These two thoughts had constantly circled his head until Anakin spoke out, "You should go check on her."

"How did you—" Obi-Wan began.

"It's all over your face, Master. Go."

Obi-Wan walked over to the room where he thought Alex had gone, and he knocked. "Come in." He walked in and saw Alex on a bed. The room was decorated like a bedroom; she must live on her ship. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I just found out an army might be after me after I decided for once, 'Hey, someone needs my help; why don't I do the right thing and help them?' not realizing I was signing up for this. Yeah, no, I'm doing absolutely fantastic."

"Oh, Alex," he sat down behind her, "I promise you, we won't— I won't let any harm come to you whatsoever."

She turned around and looked at him, narrowing her eyes. He looked at her, dumbfounded, trying to reevaluate what he had said wrong.

"I think I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself, thank you very much," she spat.

"Oh, I didn't mean to insinuate—"

"Come to think of it, I've saved your life three times, haven't I?" She started while getting up, "On Mos Eisley, on that godforsaken planet, and then saving you from that droid."

"Well, first of all, I'm pretty sure the last two are the same—"

"They aren't."

"And second of all, I had that droid."

She let out a laugh, "Sure, Jedi."

Ahsoka knocked on the door and leaned against the frame. "Uh, guys, we're here."

They exited the ship. Anakin and Ahsoka walked ahead while Obi-Wan hung back with Alex. She turned to look at him. "This is all too familiar."

"Thank you for your help; we won't forget it," Anakin said.

"Trust me, kid; I'm not forgetting this day either," she replied. Anakin and Ahsoka continued walking ahead.

"So," she looked at Obi-Wan, "Good luck, you know, with the war and everything." She lightly patted him on his arm.

She began to walk back to the ship until Obi-Wan said, "Stay." She turned around to look at him, her eyebrows furrowed.

"Ever since that day ten years ago, I've always deeply regretted not asking you to spend at least a day here with me. Stay."

She looked at him, contemplating all the possible outcomes of staying and leaving.

"Please." And that was it, that made up her mind for her. Obi-Wan saying 'Please' was more than enough for her. She couldn't refuse.

"I guess a day couldn't hurt," she smiled at him.
