"Master, It's been 3 months, you have to let it go." Anakin's voice echoed through the halls as I picked up my pace, ignoring him. It had been 3 months. We still hadn't found even one trace of Alex, almost as if she never existed. But she isn't dead, I know she isn't, I can feel her, Even if she was, why wouldn't there be a trace of it?
Anakin grabbed me by my shoulder forcing me to turn around. "Look, I know and I understand the severity of this, Everyone misses her Obi Wan, But we have been trying for so long, there's a war going on, Please, Please just let it go." Anakin pleaded. I saw the desperation in his eyes, and heard it in his voice.
"I just, I don't know— I don't know what to do with myself now that she's gone," I said.
"I know, I'm sorry, I cant begin to imagine how you feel," He came closer and hugged me, Anakin had never hugged me before. "Now let's avenge her and win this war." He said.
I couldn't let her go, of course I couldn't, but for Anakin's sake, For Ahsoka's sake, I was willing to pretend to let it go. I felt it in me that she was alive, but I'm not certain she's in a good place.
A while later we were sent on a mission, there were reports of disturbance on a planet, caused by the separatists. We had even heard that count dooku was present there. Therefore we geared up and headed for the mission.
As soon as Anakin and I stepped off our ships, we were met by separatist droids marching our way, despite our attempts to being unseen. We fought our way through them, between our battle with the droids Anakin spotted a figure standing on top of a nearby hill, "It's Dooku!" He said.
Suddenly, Another figure emerged alongside him, I didn't recognise it, Their whole head was covered by a mask, they were dressed in all black, and had a cape. They looked shorter than dooku. "Who's that?" I asked Anakin mid fight.
"No idea," As we almost finished the droids, Dooku and the unnamed figure started walking towards us. "Guess we'll find out." Anakin said.
"You take Dooku, I'll take our new friend." I said.
"Ah Count Dooku, I can't say I've missed you." Anakin said launching towards him.
I concentrated on my target, I wasn't much for mid battle remarks, clearly this person wasn't either. They brought out their blood red lightsaber and lunged towards me, I easily dodged it, and attacked them, but they were no amateur either.
I charged towards them, and they did too, we found ourselves in a cross-guard, the only thing separating us were our collided lightsabers. But then I felt something. It kept ringing in my head. Alex.
"Alex," I said softly. But she didn't reply, all I saw was a faceless helmet looking back at me, no hint of emotion. But she caught me off guard, tripping me, I fell to the ground. I got up, hitting my lightsaber lightly upwards her helmet, causing it to fall off, and it did. But she looked the other way, I didn't even catch a glimpse of her face. She started walking away from me.
I chased behind her, "Alex, I know it's you!" I shouted. She looked back at me for a moment, then continued walking. I caught up with her and placed my hand on her shoulder, She turned around.
I looked at her, our faces inches apart, She didn't say anything, neither did I. Her face was different, paler, her lips were cherry red. But the most haunting part of it all were her eyes, full of rage, red, the beautiful eyes that reminded me of everything good in the galaxy, gone. Replaced with anger and pain.
"Alex," I whispered. I brought up my hand, bringing it closer to her face, slowly. She closed her eyes at my touch.
But then she opened her eyes, pushed my hand away and knee punched my stomach. I grunted in pain.
She brought me close to her and whispered in my ear, "Don't ever call me that again."
