They sat in silence on the ship: Alex piloting, Anakin and Ahsoka overhead, and Obi-Wan sitting in the corner, wracked with agony.

Finally, Anakin broke the silence. "So, are we going to talk about it?" Alex rolled her eyes.

"Yes, what exactly happened out there?" Ahsoka chimed in.

"I'm not in the mood for an interrogation right now," Alex said calmly, avoiding eye contact and gazing straight ahead.

She glanced at Obi-Wan, who had his hand on his stomach and wore an uneasy expression, a hint of worry in his eyes.

Walking over to him, she asked, "What's wrong?" while pointing at his stomach.

"It's nothing," Obi-Wan replied. Alex looked at him skeptically, then firmly lifted his hand and noticed blood on his robes. Her eyes widened.

"This doesn't look like 'nothing' to me!" She turned around to face Ahsoka and Anakin. "We need to get him to the medics!"

"Coruscant is too far. If it's too brutal, we can stop somewhere," Anakin suggested.

"I'm fine, don't worry," Obi-Wan said, gritting his teeth.

"You are most certainly not fine! I think I may have some medical supplies; I can patch you up until we reach Coruscant," Alex said.

"Yes, thank you," Obi-Wan replied, grunting in pain as he got up with his hand still on his stomach.

Alex finished tending to Obi-Wan's wounds. She was applying a bandage to the last one when Obi-Wan quietly said, "Thank you, Alex." She waved her hand to convey 'it's no big deal.' "No, really, for everything, for saving me. I thought this time I'd really be dead," he joked.

Then he held Alex's hand, which caught her off guard. She averted her gaze from his wounds and looked up at him. "Thank you," he said softly. Then he brought her hand to his face and kissed it. Alex didn't know how to react or process any of this. Obi-Wan seemed so confident; it was usually Alex taking the big leaps.

"I think we should talk," Alex said, looking down at her lap. She knew it was wrong; she didn't want to be the reason Obi-Wan made the same mistake her parents did.

Obi-Wan sat up as much as he could and moved closer to Alex. He lifted her chin with his finger, and her eyes locked onto his. "I don't have much to talk about," he said as he moved closer, finally kissing her. It was a passionate, overly passionate kiss for a Jedi who had sworn off passion.

She pressed her hand against his bare chest and moved in closer, his fingers entangled in her hair. Suddenly, they both felt something, a warning, something unsettling. Obi-Wan ignored it, but Alex didn't. She pulled away from him
and got up.

She paced around a bit, with her fingers on her lips, "No! this is wrong, you're a Jedi, I won't let you," She stopped, "I won't let you ruin your life like this!" With that, she left the room, leaving Obi Wan distraught.
