"So who exactly did you call 'Master'?" Anakin inquired.

"An old friend," Obi-Wan mumbled as he sat against a tree. Ahsoka kept pacing back and forth until she finally blurted out, "Whoever you called is not going to come!"

"Patience, Ahsoka," Obi-Wan reassured, while Ahsoka rolled her eyes.

After a while, Ahsoka and Anakin had fallen asleep, but Obi-Wan remained awake, waiting for Alex to arrive. His eyelids began to droop until he heard a noise. He looked up to see the Canary, the ship lowering to the ground and creating a rush of air that stirred everyone awake.

Alex walked out with a smirk on her face. "If I had a credit, Obi-Wan, for every time you crashed your ship and i had to save you!" Obi-Wan got up, beaming with happiness at being saved and, more importantly, at seeing her again after a long time. Anakin and Ahsoka looked at each other in confusion about the little Tibet they just heard.

She looked older, though her attire hadn't changed. That same old maroon leather jacket was still tied around her waist.

Anakin and Ahsoka got up and walked towards the ship. "Who are the children? I thought the Jedi weren't allowed to marry. Who did you knock up?" Alex joked, a remark that greatly bothered Ahsoka and Anakin.

"CHILDREN?" they both exclaimed in unison.

"Jeez, lighten up, kids; it was a joke," she said. "I'm Alex. Come into the ship."

They followed her inside. "Make yourselves at home," she said before disappearing into the cockpit. Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan remained behind.

"Who is she?" Anakin whispered.

"I told you she's an old friend."

"With all due respect, Master, she's very strange," Ahsoka scrunched up her face.

"All that matters is that we're safe right now, and she's the one who helped us. I'd like to see you both be a little more grateful about it," Obi-Wan scolded and walked away to the cockpit, with Anakin and Ahsoka following.

"To Coruscant, I'm assuming," she said.

"Precisely," Anakin said before leaving the cockpit to explore the ship further and alleviate his suspicions.

"So who are the kids?" She kidded once again.

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes. "They're my padawans, and they're not kids. Come on, Anakin is a grown adult."

"Anakin?"

"Yes, Anakin and Ahsoka."

"You're training them?"

"Anakin is already trained; he is Ahsoka's master now."

"I never really got the whole Jedi thing, but they seem like good kids." She paused. "And how are you? How have the last 10 years been treating you?"

"I lost my master," Obi-Wan said in a low voice, not understanding why he had suddenly mentioned it. He never talked about it, but with Alex's presence, it came to the surface.

"Oh, I'm deeply sorry," she replied.

There was a moment of silence.

"I lost my cat," she mumbled.

Obi-Wan looked at her, perplexed.

"Yeah, it was black, and I had it for four years, and then I just lost it."

This made Obi-Wan laugh out loud, a rare occurrence. The last time he laughed like that was probably when he first took Anakin as a Padawan. Alex smiled at Obi-Wan, feeling proud that she made him smile. "Oh, I'm sorry, is my lost cat amusing to you?" she said, trying not to laugh.

"Well, it's not dead; it's just lost, right?"

"Touché," she smirked.

Anakin and Ahsoka entered the cabin, their faces bearing strange expressions as they looked at Obi-Wan, who was still grinning widely, an unusual sight. "When will we take off?" Ahsoka asked.

"Oh, I completely forgot. Sorry," Alex said as she started preparing the ship for takeoff. Suddenly, they heard a loud noise, something hitting the ship. The ship rattled.

"What in the hell?" Alex said as she checked the sensors.

"It's the Separatists," Anakin said.
