Felix and I have made a schedule for his visits based off my therapy sessions with Nichkhun. So every Tuesday and Thursday around 5pm, he comes and stays for an hour. I've been here three weeks and he's never been late. Not once.
Except today.
It was 7pm and he still isn't here. There's a list of things that could've happened. At the very top of it is a potential fight with San and Wooyoung again, and they threatened to kick him out if he comes to see me. Considering the fact that San nor Wooyoung have come to visit, the speculation was likely. Truthfully, I'm expecting them to tell me that was this last straw; I know I crossed a major line.
I've caused such a divide in the house now. I know Felix apologized to San, but after everything that's occurred, is that really going to fix things? In my case, I don't think an apology will ever be enough.
"Hyunjin." A woman knocked on the door. It was one of the employees, I recognized her voice. I got up off my bed and opened the door. "You're going home."
"Wait, really?" I smiled.
"Yes." She nodded. "When you're ready, go to the front desk."
"Okay, thank you."
I started frantically packing my bag, ecstatic to leave this place once again. That would also explain why Felix showed up late. He just had to sign me out.
I walked as fast as I could to the front entrance and was immediately met with confusion to see San. He didn't look happy either. But then again, we didn't leave off on the best terms. At least I'm going home though.
"Come on." No hello, no hug, nothing. A pit in my stomach was slowly forming. Something was definitely wrong.
"What am I missing?" I hesitantly asked.
I saw a burning rage in his eyes, the same as the day he pinned me to the ground. I was intimidated so I slowly backed away, bumping into the back of his car as he walked towards me.
"None of this would've happened if you would've just done what you were supposed to do." He said deeply, entirely in my face.
"San, I thought we were past this. I'm sorr-"
"Felix! I'm talking about Felix!" He screamed, grabbing a hold on my shirt and shaking me.
"What happened to Felix?" I panicked.
"He was on his way to see you. Guess what fucking happened?"
"What?" I whispered, petrified of the answer.
"He got into a fucking car accident! If you had your shit together, he wouldn't of had to drive out here two times a week. Do you have any idea how tired we are of your shit? Do you now see how this affects the people around you? I told you time and time again not to fuck with me, and it's exactly what you did!"
"Where is Felix?" My chin started to wobble as I tried to force myself not to cry.
"He's in the hospital."
"Fuck." I let the tears flow down my cheeks and fell into San's arms, not caring about what he was saying. He has every right to be angry with me, I know how much he cares for Felix.
"I swear to god, if I lose anyone else." He mumbled, hugging back.
"What are you talking about?" I started to panic again. Did someone die while I was here?
"Get in the car, we're going to see Felix." He ignored my question and took my bag for me, throwing it in the trunk.
My leg was bouncing uncontrollably as he drove. This was my fault, there's no way around it. San's right, if I wasn't such a screw up, Felix wouldn't of had to drive all this way.
"How'd you find out?"
"Minho."
It was obvious he didn't want to talk so I just kept my mouth shut until we made it to the hospital. I hated this place. It's even worse when you're here for someone else rather than yourself for once. That someone being Felix.
San was busy talking to the receptionist, seeing if we were allowed to see him. I couldn't even think properly, let alone speak.
"Can we see him?" I asked when he turned around towards me. He nodded and I followed his lead to wherever the receptionist told him.
"He just got out of surgery."
"Surgery?" I exclaimed, feeling ten times worse.
"This is it." San opened the door to reveal an innocent looking Felix sitting in a hospital bed with a cast on his arm while eating pudding.
"Oh, hey." Felix said, only seeing San at first. "Hyunjin?" He gasped.
"Hi, angel." I smiled, feeling tears of relief form from the sight of him. He's okay. He moved over on the bed for me to sit. "What did I tell you about driving safe?" I shook my head. He seemed completely unfazed unlike me. I was sweating and shaking like a maniac.
"I promise it wasn't me this time."
"Yeah, but-"
Before I could finish, he shoved a spoonful of pudding in my mouth to shut me up.
"I have to stay overnight, but don't panic."
"Why?" I asked after I swallowed. From what I can see, all he has is a broken arm.
"Internal bleeding." He slowly and very awkwardly said.
"Felix!" I gasped with wide eyes. "How bad was the accident?"
"Car is totaled, that's for sure. They arrested the guy that hit me, it was a whole crime scene."
"You seem a little too nonchalant about this for my liking, just saying."
"He's in shock." San answered, looking down at his phone, most likely texting Wooyoung.
"That would be why." Felix nodded, agreeing with San.
"You make me so fucking nervous." I stressed, kissing his forehead. "This is my fault."
"No, Jinnie, please don't say that."
"No, it's true. If I wasn't such a jackass, I would've been home with you the whole time. You never would've needed to drive all that way just to visit me." Even though he was okay and right next to me, I started to panic.
"Hyunjin, listen to me, baby." He turned my head with his left arm since it was the only one accessible and looked into my eyes. "This is not your fault." He wiped my eyes and gave me a small kiss. "Now did San sign you out for good or are you going back in?" I looked to San to see if he had an answer because I didn't actually know myself.
"He's good." San said, still frantically typing away on his phone.
"Perfect." Felix smiled and kissed me again. I kept my lips to his, never wanting to part. I was so terrified if he was okay or not the entire way here. But seeing him smiling was such a relief.
"I'm going to take care of you when you get home, okay?"
"You better." He teased.
"I love you so much, I'm so happy you're okay." I sighed, carefully wrapping my arm around his shoulder so I don't hurt him.
"I love you too, Jinnie, I'm glad you're here."
