"Woo, what do I do?"
"Stand there and be your beautiful self. You're allowed to talk to people, but don't ask anyone where the bathroom is." Seems simple enough. "Oh, and don't laugh at me. But you can laugh at Jungkook."
Now that we're at the studio, I was more excited than ever. I've never seen Wooyoung in action, I miss Jungkook, and Jennie is here. It almost makes me wish I pursued a career in modeling. Almost.
"Hyunjinnie!" Jungkook shouted the second he saw us.
"If it isn't the viral sensation himself." I smiled. After Wooyoung and Jungkook went to that event in Japan, their interview was all over social media. Everyone wanted to know who the guy with the lip rings and the tattoos was. So naturally, his modeling career took off.
"Wooyoung didn't tell me you were coming, it's so good to see you." Jungkook's voice was muffled into my shoulder as he squeezed me tight.
"I missed you too."
"Where the hell is my hug?" Wooyoung pouted.
"Come here, you brat." Jungkook waved him over to form a nice little family hug. "Alright, he's gotta get to hair and makeup." He said to me. "I came early because I was bored."
With that, Wooyoung left the two of us. My adrenaline was so high and I wasn't even doing anything.
"I guess I was a surprise then."
"You definitely were."
"Seriously, move to Korea. I miss hanging out with you."
"Unfortunately New York is where I'm staying." He sighed, shoving his hands in his pockets. "I'd never ask you to go there again, but I miss you being there."
"Do you still hang with Hongjoong and Seonghwa?"
"Of course. You know their wedding is gonna be in Seoul, right?"
"Oh, thank god." That was a huge relief.
"And you're in it as one of the groomsmen."
"I'm shocked, I thought they couldn't wait to get away from me."
"Shut up, you know they miss you. Seonghwa tells me all the time."
"He texts me every day too." I smiled. "I think he's rubbed off on Wooyoung a little bit nowadays, he takes the mother role pretty seriously."
"I actually brought that up to him since he told me everything that's been going on. He says it isn't a mother role, otherwise he'd be a little more sympathetic. He says it's him being your big brother."
I looked over at Wooyoung in the makeup chair and faintly smiled. He was so concentrated even with his eyes closed. It was funny to see him so serious, contrary to how he is at home. Although I will say he's been less outgoing since I moved in. Months ago when I caught onto it, I asked San if it was because of me, but he said it's just the modeling. Now that I'm seeing it up close in person, I definitely see what he means.
"He's so stressed out." I sighed. "Half of it is because of me and I hate it."
"Yeah, but the way he looks at it is that you're better now than you were in May. Taemin was another one of your tragic accidents, that's all. Now especially after Felix, he's pretty confident this was the end."
"Damn, you know everything." I smiled.
"Everything." He emphasized. "Wooyoung confides in me most nowadays." For some reason, that hurt to hear. It used to be me that Wooyoung told everything to. I've picked up on how I'm out of the loop with a lot of things going on. It's my own fault, I know. But this is why my sobriety needs to be permanent this time. Wooyoung and I act like we're fine, but we're really not. How could we be? I've gone from being his best friend to his patient. "You wear your emotions all over your face, I hope you know that."
