Wooyoung's POV:
I didn't think I'd be headed towards Busan again any time soon, but Jungkook was home with his family for the holidays and I think it's about time I met them. But if he introduces me as Jimin's younger brother, I'm sure I'll be welcomed with open arms.
Jungkook told me a couple of his other friends he grew up will be there too so I'm a little nervous. I have no problems with meeting new people, it's just that I can't help but feel like everyone already has an opinion on me based off what they've seen online. San said he doesn't think Jungkook would have me near people that I'd feel uncomfortable around, which is a good point. I guess I'll just have to find out for myself.
I rang the doorbell on the house that I vaguely remembered from when I was a kid. Faint memories of mom dropping Jimin off here before taking me to dance practice started to flood my mind. Actually, it hit me like a bus.
"Wooyoungie!" Jungkook exclaimed with a big smile. "Come in." He waved me inside as I followed behind, then led me to the living room where his parents and two friends were. I recognized one of them immediately. Not from pictures, but because he's a famous rapper. I'm not fazed by celebrities anymore, but I do find this interesting.
"Oh my god, hi!" Mrs. Jeon shot up from the couch and gave me a huge hug. "I haven't seen you in forever!" It was one of those moments where you have no idea who someone is and they know you so it's a bit awkward, but the affection was appreciated nonetheless.
"It's good to see you." I smiled. I'd say 'again', but that would be a lie because I have no recollection of meeting this woman as a kid. Oh well.
"Woo, this is one of my best friends, Taehyung." His select choice of words were cute. One of my best friends, like I'd get upset if he dared to replace Jimin. "And this is my other best friend, Yoongi."
"I know you." I smiled. Instead of awkward staring, I thought it would be best to just get it out of the way.
"And I know you." He nodded. "How's retirement treating you?"
"Retired? You're just a kid." Mr. Jeon chimed in, but I could tell he meant no harm. I'm sure his parents have no idea who I am other than being Jimin's little brother.
"I still work." I lightly smiled. "Just not in the modeling industry anymore. I passed the torch to Jungkook." I teased. Although, there is some truth to that. I'm the one who gave him his career in a sense. That one interview in Japan really took the internet by storm.
"What do you do now?"
"I'm an assistant dance instructor with my friend."
"Well, I'm glad everything worked out for you then." He smiled. "Jungkook, your mother and I will be in the kitchen to make dinner."
"Gotcha." Jungkook nodded.
Now it was just the four of us.
Jungkook had a fond expression while looking at me afterwards. I know how proud he is. I feel bad for giving everyone a bit of a scare, but I'm really trying my hardest. I don't want to be that person that everyone worries about all the time. It seems like the second I stopped constantly worrying about Hyunjin, he was able to ease up and become a normal person. Meaning, there's an official date for his wedding now, he's still working at the museum, and he's been clean for over a year. He's actually doing better than I ever expected, so saying I'm proud is an understatement.
"You're not missing much, trust me." Jungkook assured. "But if you want to be my plus one for an event or two, the invitation is always there." Maybe I'll take him up on the offer in a year or two. "I've been trying to sucker him into being a model." He pointed to Taehyung, who still hasn't said a word. "But he's too shy." That would make sense.
