"Can you come over for a bit?" San never asks to hang out if it's just the two of us so I figured something was up.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a second. Everything okay?"

"Technically, yes. Technically, no. I really don't know."

I scoffed, finding his answer annoying. It's a simple yes or no. But I guess I'll find out.

I let myself in and walked straight to the couch where San was sitting. "Alright, let's hear it."

"Wooyoung asked me to do 'detective work' and I'm exhausted so I'd rather not."

"Bad day at work?" He nodded. "So then are you asking me to do it instead?"

"No, but I know you have the answer. Did something happen with Felix and ESteem?"

"God damn, does Wooyoung have a sixth sense or something?" I was in complete shock. Felix hasn't made it obvious whatsoever so I can't imagine where he would've gotten the idea.

"So something did happen?" From the way San sounded, he didn't believe anything occurred until just now.

"Can we leave it at that?" Felix hardly wanted me knowing, so I don't have any right telling people his business. I know it's San, but I don't have it in me to chance it.

"That's fine." He nodded, not wanting to pry. "Is he okay though?"

"He's fine." I shrugged my shoulders before joining him on the couch. "He's trying his best. This was one of those times where I realized just how strong Felix is. I think I always underestimate him because I tend to baby him, but in a loving way. Do you know what I mean?"

"I'm like that with Wooyoung. I know he's fully capable of taking care of himself in every aspect of his life, but I can't help but want to step in and do something."

"Is that why you're doing 'detective work' for him?" I faintly smiled.

"Yeah. He called me earlier and explained this whole theory he has about how ESteem definitely used him to make the company look good. You know I'm good at picking up on things, but I never would've put that together."

"You think he's onto something?"

"Admitting to something like that is really hard for me."

"Why?"

"Because that would mean I agree that ESteem only used Wooyoung to have their version of an inclusive model. Let's be real, all these companies used to hire super tall models that waste away in the gym every day along with tons of plastic surgery. That is the beauty standard in every single department for men. Wooyoung is 5'8, hates working out, and starves himself and smokes to lose weight to have his version of a 'model body'. To the public eye, he's loved. People think he's so hot and so funny, and he is. But what Wooyoung is saying is that ESteem knew that would happen. Models don't get scouted the way he did. You know that was a too good to be true, once in a lifetime situation. They were looking for a punching bag and that was him. They wanted someone normal. Somehow we just didn't see it all this time."

I felt a burning rage inside me. Hearing what happened with Felix and now this? I believe every word of it. That company is evil and corrupt. I'm glad both of them are out of there.

"What made him come to this conclusion in the first place?"

"He's the only model that's known for his personality over his looks. He's the 'personable model'. That's not a thing, no model is meant to be relatable."

San must've gotten a bad text message because he threw his phone on the coffee table and rested his head in his hands without saying another word.

"What just happened?"
