Lucy's POV

Willow, Buffy and I walked into the Bronze where Xander was supposed to meet us. As we were looking around for somewhere to sit, Xander came over and put his arms around Buffy and Willow while he put his hand on my shoulder.

"Babes!"

"What are you doing?" Buffy asked.

"Work with me here. Blayne had the nerve to question my manliness. I'm just gonna give him a visual."

"We'll show him!" Willow said, throwing her arms around him. Xander looked back at Blayne, gave him a thumbs up.

"I don't believe it." Buffy muttered, looking to the other side of the Bronze.

"I know, and after all my conquests." Xander replied, but Buffy simply walked away to where Angel was waiting for her.

"Who's that?"

"That must be Angel! I think?"

"That weird guy that warned her about all the vampires?"

"That's him, I'll bet you."

"That's him, alright; in all his brooding glory." I told them glowering at him.

"Well, he's buff! She never said anything about him being buff!" Xander said, in a panicked tone.

"You think he's buff?"

"He's a very attractive man! How come that never came up?"

"You got issues, Harris." I replied, still glaring as we continued to watch him talk with Buffy. We watched as he took of his jacket and placed it around her shoulders.

"Oh, right! Give her your jacket. It's a balmy night, no one needs to be trading clothing out there!" Xander snapped while I rolled my eyes at Buffy, who was obviously falling for his handsome, mysterious stranger act.

The next day, Willow and I were sitting on a bench in front of school while we were waiting for the others to join us.

At that moment, we saw Buffy talking with Giles about what Angel had told her. "I'll see what I can find out." Giles assured her, before he looked up at the sky. "God every day here is the same."

"Bright, sunny, beautiful; however can we escape this torment?" Buffy joked.

"Really." He replied. As he walked away Xander passed him, heading towards us. "Good morning."

"Morning'." He replied then turned to us. "Guess what I just heard in the office? No Dr. Gregory today. Ergo, those of us who blew off our science homework aren't as dumb as we look." He told us, while he reached down to close Willow's textbook.

"What happened, is he sick?" Buffy asked.

"They didn't say anything about sick, something about missing."

"He's missing?" I inquired.

"Well, let me think. Um, the cheerleaders were modelling their new short skirts, that kinda got... Yeah! Yeah, they said missing." He noticed that we all had an unnerved look on our faces. "Which is bad?"

"If something's wrong, yeah!" Buffy said.

"He's one of the only teachers that doesn't think Buffy's a felon." Willow explained.

"I'm really sorry, I'm sure he'll..." Xander started, but was distracted by something ahead of us. "I, uh, huh..." We looked over to see it was a beautiful woman walking to the front of school.
