Lucy's POV
Willow, Xander and I went to check how Buffy was getting on with the whole Amy problem, but when we got there she was acting extremely hyper.
"Ow! Get it together, Buffy, we have a game in less than four hours." One of the head cheerleaders yelled at Buffy when she stood on her foot. Instead of paying attention, Buffy spotted us and started jumping up and down.
"Willow, Xander, Lucy! My buds are here. I love my buds. Hi! Hi, oh."
"Is it me, or is Buffy kind of looped?" We turned to see Buffy randomly dancing on the spot while other girls were doing cartwheels.
"You think?" I asked, sarcastically.
"We better get her out of there."
"Yeah, before she..." Xander started to say before being cut off as Buffy throws the head cheerleader to the other side of the room., "...hurts somebody."
Xander, Willow and I went to see how Buffy was coming along with the whole Amy thing. When we arrived at the cheer leading practise Buffy was acting really strange.
"We better get Buffy out there." Willow told us.
"Yeah before she..." Xander started before Buffy threw the head cheerleader across the room. "hurts someone."
We ran over to Buffy before she could do anymore damage.
"You are so out of here."
"It's not her fault." Willow said, rushing to Buffy's defence.
"She's on medication." I 'explained'.
"Well clearly not enough. Who's our next alternate?" We all looked at Amy who was standing to the side. "Oh. Amy you just made cheerleader."
"No, no, no. You don't want her, she's a w-" Buffy was cut off by Xander covering her mouth.
"A wise choice indeed."
We dragged Buffy out, while she kept trying warn everyone about Amy.
"She's a witchy. I just got kicked off the team, didn't I?"
"I don't think it's your fault." Xander said, trying to comfort her.
"I know you don't. That's because you're my friend. You're my Xander shaped friend." Buffy smiled at him, leaning on his shoulder. "Do you have any idea why I love you so?"
"We should get her to a..." Willow began before Xander cut her off; loving the affection he was getting from Buffy.
"Let her speak."
"I'll tell you. You're not like the other boys at all."
"Well.."
"You are totally and completely one of the girls. I'm that comfy with him." Buffy finished. Willow and I smirked while Xander looked slightly offended and disappointed.
"Thank you for that." I said to him. "That was most definitely worth it."
"That's great, you're welcome."
"Any other guy who'd give me a bracelet would wanna date me...and..." Buffy started to stumble over her words and feet as the real effects of the spell started to wear in. "I don't feel so good." She mumbled before passing out in our arms.
We rushed her to the library. When we got her there, we placed a cloth on her head.
"We've got to get her to a hospital."
"They can't help her."
"He's right. This is a bloodstone vengeance spell." I explained. "It hits the body hard like a quart of alcohol, and then it eradicates the immune system."
"A vengeance spell, like she's trying to get even with Buffy?" Xander asked.
"Cause she knows I know she's a witch." Buffy concluded.
"Yes, the others she just wanted out of the running. You she intends to..."
"Kill?"
"How much time do we have?" Willow asked.
"Oh, uh, I'm sure, uh..." Giles stammered, trying to spare Buffy the worry.
"Truth. Please." Buffy pleaded, catching on.
"Couple of hours... Three at most." I admitted.
"Well, how do we reverse the spell?" Xander asked.
"Well I, I've been researching that, and, uh, we can reverse all the spells if, um... we can just lay our hands on, on Amy's spell book." Giles determined.
"And if we can't get a hold of it?" Willow questioned.
"Well, the other way is to cut the witch's head off." I answered.
"Show of hands!" Xander quipped.
"It's not Amy's fault. She only became a witch to survive her mother."
"Look, I don't care why, I just care that you go on breathing."
"Giles, Lucy, where would she be casting these spells?"
"Oh, she needs a, a sacred space. A pentagram, um, large pot."
"Her home. Okay. Help me up." Buffy told us, struggling as she tried to stand. "We'll just go to her house and we'll get her book."
"Okay, we'll go with you."
"Uh, no! Giles and Lucy will come with me, we might need an experienced witch's help. You guys stay here and keep an eye on Amy."
"And keep her away from the science lab. We'll need it to cast our counter-spells."
We arrived at Amy's house. Giles knocked on the door while I supported Buffy. Amy's mum, Catherine, opened the door and looked at us nervously.
"Who are you? Wha, um, uh, is there something wrong?"
"Mrs. Madison, we need to talk to you about your daughter."
"I'm not allow... You'll have to come back later." She replied timidly.
She tried to close the door, but Giles pushed his way in before she could.
"Excuse me!"
"What?!"
"You alright? Um, in here." He told me, leading me to the living room. He then turned back to Catherine. "Your daughter is meddling with something very dangerous, are you aware of that?"
"Uh, I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh, I think you know only too well."
"You've got to go. She's gonna be home soon, and you..."
"This girl is very sick." Giles argued, pointing at Buffy who I was sitting with. "Now you will shut up and you will listen to me! Your daughter has access to some very powerful magicks, and somehow your obsession with cheer leading has made..."
"I don't care about cheer leading!" Catherine interrupted. "It's not my fault she's doing stuff."
Buffy looked down under the table. I looked as well and saw a plate of brownies.
"As her mother you should assume some responsibility for her actions."
"Well, you know, these kids today! I... She's out of her mind. Ever since dad, her dad... left I can't control her."
Buffy slowly got up, looking at Catherine carefully.
"You're afraid of her?"
"Amy?"
Catherine looked at Buffy in surprise. It was then I realised what had happened. Giles looked at Buffy, still confused.
"Are you Amy?"
"I don't understand."
"She switched! She switched your bodies, didn't she?" I asked, already knowing it was true.
"Good Lord!" Giles said in shock.
"She wanted to relive her glory days."
"She said I was wasting my youth." Amy started, looking upset and scared. "So she took it."
