Lucy POV
Buffy, Willow and I were looking for a table at the Bronze, waiting for Xander to arrive. Willow was continuously turning around, looking out for him, while Buffy and I watched in amusement.
"I thought Xander would be here by now." Willow said.
"That would make him on time." I started.
"We couldn't have that." Buffy finished.
"Did he seem upset at all on the bus back?"
"About what?" Buffy asked.
"I don't know. He was quiet."
"I didn't notice anything. Of course Lucy and I aren't as hyper-aware of him as, say for example, you." Buffy told her.
"Hyper-aware?"
"Well we're not constantly monitoring his moods, his health, his blood pressure..." I elaborated before Willow interrupted proudly.
"130 over 80."
"You got it bad, girl." Buffy concluded as she smiled at our love struck friend.
"He makes my head go tingly. You know what I mean?"
"I dimly recall." Buffy answered
"But it hasn't happened to you two lately?"
"Not of the late." Buffy replied, while I just remained silent. Something the two picked up on.
"So," Buffy began, grinning slyly. "Who, may I ask, has caught the eye of our 'no time for dates or love or humans' Lucy?" I rolled my eyes at the two, but decided to throw them a bone anyway.
"It's nothing. It's just... yesterday at the zoo, Kyle winked at me and... I don't know it made me feel..." I looked up at the pair who were watching me excitedly. I sighed before giving up. "Tingly."
"Oh tin man, you do have a heart." Buffy exclaimed jokingly. I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help smile too.
"So, Buffy? You sure you've not met anyone special? Not even for a dangerous and mysterious older man whose leather jacket you're wearing right now?"
"Goes with the shoes!"
