Lucy POV
Giles and I were hiding behind a crypt, while we observed Buffy's fighting skills. She was putting up a good fight, throwing punches and ducking in time; but she had been fighting for too long and I could see Giles getting impatient. Finally, Buffy grabbed the vampire's arm, kicked him in the face, then managed to kick him to the ground. "We haven't been properly introduced." She started, pulling out a stake. "I'm Buffy, and you're history!"
As soon as she plunged the stake into his chest, and the vampire turned to dust, Giles and I stood up from our hiding place. "Poor technique. Prioritising , sub-par... execution was adequate, but a bit too bloody for my taste"
Buffy merely looked at him with annoyance, "Giles, don't mention it. It was my pleasure to make the world safe for humanity again."
"I'm not saying that your methods are without merit," Buffy looked to where I was standing behind Giles for a translation, to which I simply stuck my thumbs up. Buffy smiled, but Giles caught the exchange and let out an irritated sigh. "it's, uh, you're spending too much time and energy. It should simply be: plunge, and move on. Plunge and..." he paused, spotting something on the ground, "hello."
He bends down picking up a ring that must have been on the vampire before he was dusted. "Oh, that's great! I'll kill them; you fence their stuff." Buffy said, while Giles gave her a look. "What is it?"
"I don't know."
"But it bothers you."
"Yes! Well, I... I thought this vampire was just on a random kill, but it may be something else."
"Something big?"
"Yes. I'd best consult my books. Lucy, I don't suppose you could spare some of your time to help with this." He asked, walking away before I could answer. I turned back to Buffy, smiling sardonically.
"Oh goody, more books. He is lucky I have no life."

Third POV
The Master was stood in front of his lectern. He slammed a book down on it, opened it to a certain page and started to read out loud. "'And there will be a time of crisis, of worlds hanging in the balance. And in this time shall come the Anointed, the Master's great warrior. And the Slayer will not know him, will not stop him, and he will join in leading her into Hell.' As it is written, so shall it be."
He picked up the book and began walking towards the Brethren, who were stood side-by-side listening. "'Five will die, and from their ashes the Anointed shall rise. The Brethren of Aurelius shall greet him and usher him to his immortal destiny' As it is written, so shall it be. 'And one of the brethren shall go out hunting the night before and get himself killed, because he couldn't wait to finish his job before he ate.' Oh, wait."
He paused while the brethren look at each other and the Master with worry. Suddenly he grabbed one of the brethren by the throat. "That's not written anywhere. The Anointed will be my greatest weapon against the Slayer! If you fail to bring him to me, if you allow that girl to stop you..." he then threw the vampire into a coffin. "Here endeth the lesson."
