"Giles, have you ever touched a ghost?" Buffy asked, as we walked around the front of the school. Apparently, Buffy had been around when Harmony fell down the stairs. She was fine, just a broken ankle. Is it bad that this is the one time I haven't felt bad about not getting a vision before someone got hurt?

"Uh, no. From what I've heard, uh, having a ghost pass through you is a singular experience. It's a... It's rather, uh, cold amorphous feeling. It makes your hair stand on end."

"You see, that's my problem. I touched the thing, but it didn't go through me. It bumped into me. And it wasn't cold."

"So, we're talking about what, an invisible person?"

"A girl. She laughed."

"A girl on campus with the ability to become invisible."

"That is so cool!"

"Cool?"

"Well, yeah, I would give anything to be able to turn invisible. Well, I wouldn't use my powers to beat people up, but I'd use my powers to protect the girls' locker room."

"Nah, I'm with Xander on this one... Except the perverted part. Just imagine; anytime someone annoying tries to talk to me, I could just go invisible and leave the conversation..." I smiled, daydreaming about the perfect power.

"You already leave conversations whenever someone you don't like tries to talk to you." Willow reminded me.

"Oh yeah! I'm good, then."

"Um... It must be a fairly heady experience... having that ability."

"How'd she get it? Is she a witch? 'Cause we can fight a witch."

"Hmm. Greek myths speak of cloaks of invisibility, but they're usually for the gods." Xander articulated. What the hell? "Research Boy comes through with the knowledge!"

"This girl's sort of petty for a god."

"She's got a grudge. But why Harmony?"

"Harmony and Mitch. The common denominator is..."

"Cordelia."

"So what now?"

"Call it a day, and thank the Lord for karma?" I suggested.

"No. First thing tomorrow, why don't you pull up that missing kids list?"

"Got it. I'll see you then."

"Bye."

"See you." Xander called, leaving with Willow while Giles, Buffy and I stayed back. "Oh, hey, do you want to come to our place tonight for dinner? Mom's making her famous phone call to the Chinese place."

"Xander, do you guys even have a stove?"

"So," Giles started as he turned to face us. "I'll look into ways that you can de-cloak an invisible someone. What about you?"

"I think Cordelia's going to be working on her May Queen dress tonight. Maybe there'll be some action. Guess I'm going to start the hunt."

"How exactly do you propose to hunt someone you can't see?" Buffy looked at Giles curiously. "You may have to work on listening to people."

"Very funny."

"I thought so."

"I did too." I smirked.

Later that night, I had a vision. It was of a girl with short, brown hair. I'd never seen her before. She was watching Mitch and Harmony and Cordelia. Oooh, she was not happy. I think she might be the one that we're after.

"The winner is Cordelia Chase!"

It was the next day at school. I was on the quad looking for the gang.

"Let's bring up our new May Queen."

"Thank you for making the right choice, and for showing me how much you all love me." Gag. I continued to look for the others as Cordelia dragged on with her self-involved speech. I finally found them near one of the pillars.

"This is the dead and missing list. I pulled up their classes, activities, medical records..."

"Good work."

"Hey." I greeted as I joined them in looking at the list, hoping to find the girl from my vision.

"Hey. Has Cordelia hired a bodyguard or something?"

"It's this one." I interrupted, finding the mysterious girl from my vision.

"How do you know?"

"I had a vision last night. It was this girl, and she did not like the popular kids. Especially Cordelia. See, sometimes they are useful."

"Marcie Ross, disappeared, like, six months ago." Buffy read out.

"I don't know her."

"Me neither." I shook my head, showing I didn't know her either.

"I think Lucy's vision was right. Her only activity was band. She played the flute."

"So?"

"Well, last night when I was hunting, I heard this flute, but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. And it was in the band room that I lost Miss Invisible yesterday. You know what, this all tracks. I'm going to check it out. See you guys later?"

"Okay, we'll see you after geometry."

"Thank you so much, Lucy. What would we do without your visions?" I muttered to myself.
