Giles had slightly turned off the gas valve with his hands, but it didn't completely turn off.
"That should give us a few minutes, but we... If we don't get out of this room soon..."
"Why is Marcie doing this?" Willow asked.
"The loneliness, the constant exile, she's... she has gone mad!"
"You think?" Xander coughed out, as he and Willow covered their mouths and noses. I continued to slam into the door.

Giles wrapped his jacket around the pole from before to stop any sparks.
"One, two, three!"
He and Xander both started ramming the pole into the door. Unfortunately, it didn't do anything.
"Again!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Willow had been knocked unconscious from the gas. Xander and Giles were on the floor. I was still going, but I was very close to passing out.
"You guys are... I'm blacking out on you." Xander drowsily mumbled before he collapsed on Willow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I couldn't take it anymore. I pushed myself into the door once more, before I fell onto my knees. As soon as I did the door swung open. I looked up to see Angel.
"Oh God! I have never been so happy to see your big, stupid forehead." I mumbled, trying to keep my eyes open.
"Come on." Angel said, grabbing me and pulling me out of the room. He pulled Giles out afterwards, followed by Xander and finally he carried out Willow. Giles and I slammed the door shut as we tried to catch our breath.
"What happened?" Xander asked.
"You tell me."
"I'm up, mom." Willow sleepily muttered as she regained consciousness.
"Hi. What do you want?"
"I brought you the Codex. I came in through the basement. I smelled the gas."
"Yes, we must shut it off, otherwise, the whole building will go up."
"I'll get it. It's not like I need the oxygen."
"Come on, let's get out of here."
We left as quickly as we could, given our state, leaving Angel to deal with the gas.

At school the next day, Buffy was telling us about how she and Cordelia were kidnapped by Marcie who wanted to carve up Cordelia's face. Buffy had managed to hear Marcie's movement and incapacitated her until two FBI agents escorted Marcie away.
"I just can't believe how twisted Marcie got. By the way, how did you guys get out of the boiler room?"
"Oh, well, when the gas was coming down, we..."
"Janitor, um, found us. Shut the valve off." Giles interrupted Xander.
"We were lucky."
"I'll say." Cordelia joined us in the hallway before we could enter the library.
"Hi."
"Hey!"
"Look, um, I didn't get a chance to say anything yesterday with the coronation and everything... but, um, I guess I just wanted to say thank you, all of you."
"That's funny, 'cause she looks like Cordelia." Xander said, sarcastically. I elbowed him, not wanting him to stop this monumental moment.
"You really helped me out yesterday, and you didn't have to. So, thank you."
"It's okay."
"Listen, we were going to grab lunch in a minute if you wanted to..." Willow started to offer, before she was interrupted by Mitch joining Cordelia's side.
"Whoa, whoa. You're not hanging with these losers, are you?"
"Uhhh! Are you kidding? Heh! I was just being charitable. Helping them with their fashion problems. You think I really felt like joining that social leper colony? Puh-lease!" Cordelia laughed as she and Mitch walked away from us.
"Boy, where's an invisible girl when you really need one?"
"Eh, I'm fine with this. Honestly, her talking to us like we are actually human beings was making me feel like we were in the Twilight Zone." I shrugged as we walked into the library.
I did wonder though; what happened to Marcie...
A/N- How would you guys feel about an X-Files/Lucifer crossover fanfiction? I'm currently working on one, so hopefully it should be up soon. Plus I've got a two week break coming up next week, so this will give me time to work on Buffy and X-Files.
