Under the shroud of night, Techno stood alone on the bank, gazing at the relentless cascade of water over the waterfall. Disbelief held him in its icy grip as he tried to process the stark reality that (Y/N) was truly gone. The voices in his head, usually a cacophony of chaos, now mirrored his somber mood.

"Good riddance."

"Don't say that."

"Tommy needs to pay for this."

"Burn Manburg to the ground."

"She didn't deserve to die like this."

"Now we can't give her the pin."

In his mind, he conjured the image of (Y/N)'s radiant smile, a beacon of warmth that had brightened even the darkest moments. Each voice, usually indifferent to human emotions, now resonated with a profound sense of loss.

As Techno grappled with the enormity of the situation, he couldn't shake the haunting thought of what could have been. The mere idea of (Y/N) enduring an endless cycle of drowning until all her lives were extinguished sent shivers down his spine.

"I wonder how long it would have taken."

"It must have been miserable."

"Can you imagine coming back to life after drowning the first time only to be dragged back under."

"Again and again."

"Until..."

"Such a sad way to go."

"What a wimp."

"This is your fault Techno."

Self-blame took hold of Techno's thoughts, accusing him of failing to be there when (Y/N) needed him most. He berated himself, insisting he should have returned sooner, that he should have protected her. In his hands, he clutched the hairpin he had bought for her, contemplating discarding it over the waterfall in a symbolic farewell.

However, a faint glow in the distance caught his eye. A distant campfire flickered, defying the darkness. Techno's heart skipped a beat as a glimmer of hope pierced the veil of sorrow. Could it be (Y/N)? A spark of determination ignited within him as he decided to investigate, unwilling to let go of the possibility that she might still be out there.

"It could be (Y/N)"

"No one can survive that kind of fall."

"Go check it out."

Alone in the chilling night, (Y/N) sat by a small campfire, desperately attempting to stave off the bone-deep cold that clung to her after the harrowing journey over the waterfall. The gash on her head had mercifully ceased bleeding hours ago, but her leg throbbed with the unmistakable pain of a break. Every rustle in the bushes sent her heart racing, knowing that she was vulnerable in her weakened state. If any hostile mobs were to appear, escape would be impossible.

Then, a tall figure emerged from the shadows. Her heart leaped when she recognized Techno stepping into the flickering light. Shock etched across his face as he took in her pale, shivering form.

"Hi, Techno, what brings you here?" she managed to chitter through her teeth, the cold making her words stutter.

Without hesitation, Techno rushed to her side, draping his red cloak over her shoulders to help stave off the cold. His strong arms enveloped her, pulling her into a warm embrace. "I was so scared that I had lost you," he admitted, a mix of relief and worry in his eyes.
