" Al-Alice?!" She rushed towards her but suddenly stopped. They were just inches apart.
Stella moved forward her hand. It trembled a little and she didn't know why. She finally touched her face and was shocked. After a moment, she embraced Alice tightly.
It was so tight that Alice almost couldn't breathe. She was still so shocked that she couldn't react.
" Alice! Your back! Your back. Finally I found you! I... I've been searching for you!" Stella said emotionally as she ran her hand through Alice's hair.
She finally pulled back and looked at alice. One of her hand was still holding her neck and other her face. She looked at her full of the same old love. She had tearful eyes as she asked.
" Alice, where we're you? I... I searched everywhere for you. Why? Why did you, suddenly, leave like that? Don't you know... I really, I really... " Tears spilled from her eyes as she said.
Only she knew what she went through. The love of her life disappeared overnight like they never existed. She looked the highs and lows for her but didn't find a single thing about Alice.
These five years apart from Alice were more like worlds apart. The world felt so empty, so lonely and so strange without her. She had grown way too used to her love. Losing it overnight, it took her more than half a year to get back on the track.
Alice looked at Stella speechless. The person she bleed to see but didn't allow herself to, that person suddenly appeared in front of her.
She ran so far away and didn't take a single look at her for five years. She didn't even when she felt like she would die for a sneak at her. Why did she have to appear right in front of her? Why does fate play such cruel games at her? How is she supposed to act towards her love that she loves more than of a and death yet can't be together with?!
" I... I went to study abroad." She said in a daze. She didn't know what else to say.
" Why? Didn't we decide to go to the Capital University together? And even if you changed plans, why didn't you... Why didn't you say anything? I was so worried!"
Stella cried a little as she said.
" Don't... Don't cry. Calm down. We will talk later."
Alice could bear everything but Stella's tears are not bearable for her. She can't bear to see Stella in pain.
" How can I?! Alice, please tell me. Tell me what happened! Didn't we... Didn't you love me?"
Hearing her words, Alice's eyes contracted. They suddenly warmed up with tears that she controlled with all her might.
" You Loved Me, Didn't You?"
Her words echoed in her ears. The words she heard in her every nightmare. The last fading sounds of her love that she would never forgot even if she ever loses her memories.
" Alice. What's wrong? Okay. Let's go inside and talk."
Stella got worried seeing the look on her face. Though she had lots of grievance and questions, she cared about Alice more.
What Alice did was very wrong. She disappeared as if they meant nothing. Any other person would have hated her but she didn't. She wouldn't.
She believes in her love. She knows her Alice. She knows her kind and pure heart. Alice would never hurt someone especially if that someone was who she loved and if despite that she did, then she would have a really big reason for it.
She has hundred percent belief in their love no matter how much it has hurt her.
Stella held her hand and pulled her along with her to her apartment. She opened the door. Her apartment was simple and sweet. Her furniture was also like that. It was all very clean. She probably cleaned up just then.
Stella pulled her to hit on the sofa in the living room. It wasn't very spacious but was very cosy.
She made Alice sit down and told her to wait as she went to bring a juice from her refrigerator. She brought the orange juice which is also good for health.
" Here. Drink this. You'll feel better." She sat down and passed the juice to her.
" Thank you. I am alright." Alice has already calmed down. She was back to her cold and reserved nature.
" No. I insist. Drink it and only then will I talk to you."
Alice looked at her for a moment and finally gave up and opened the cap. She took a few sips slowly and told her.
" So, what did you want to ask?"
Hearing hee question, Stella looked at her with a look of give up.
" Don't you know better than anyone what I want to ask?" She asked sadly.
Alice was left speechless. She has prayed million and one times to never meet Stella again but she has prayed million times to see her again. Now that she sat here speechless with answers she could never say, she felt helpless.
