Deceived Me

Chapter 30:

You know, after I stabilized, my mother had a discussion with me about my sexuality. She had concerns over the fact that I'll leave a harder life but she personally had no problem. She told me at that time that as long as I'll be happy, she ask for nothing more. If she saw me smiling like this with you today, she'll forget all about past. So how about you... Well, do you want to come with me to meet my mother? She already knows about you. She even knows your name and which family you came from. She also knows we loved each other a lot. Please, come with me. I didn't ask you before because I was concerned about you. But if your concern is this, then please come with me and see for yourself how she'll accept you. Hmm?"

Stella asked so gently that Alice couldn't find it in her to reject her. She felt very nervous but wanted to meet Stella's mother too and didn't want to break Stella's heart either. She nodded with a slight smile. Seeing that, a bright smile swept up on Stella's face which made her feel happy too.

Alice got up while Stwlla still held her hand. She told Stella with a smile.

" Then call your mother and inform her. Tell her were coming and we'll be an hour late. I want to get something for her on the way. And don't say I don't need to. She's your mother and it's basic manners to show this much respect to our elders. I'll get ready until then."

Alice pulled her hand out of her clingy hold and left. Stella smiled happily at her back. She felt really happy that the two most important people of her life were going to meet. From what she knows about her mother and Alice, she knew they would really get along well.

Alice went to get changed. She wore a maroon slim long skirt along with a turtleneck white winter t-shirt. She left her hair open and wore a simple sandal heels. She looked elegant and presentable in it. She also applied a light make up.

Meanwhile, Stella called her mother.

" Hello?"

" Mama, I just called you to inform you that I am going to bring someone. So I'll arrive an hour later."

" What? Who are you bringing?"

" Mama, she's someone special. You'll know when you meet her. We'll be there soon." Stella hung up.

Celina looked at her phone in confusion. Stella said it's someone special. Did she finally got over her high school love? But just a few months ago on her graduation she was so sad and down over her. How would she suddenly get over her? But if she really did, it would be great. If her daughter can finally move on and be happy, what else could she ask for? She just hopes that whatever it is, it will be a good thing.

Stella also changed into a little more formal suit because of Alice insisting. She felt funny getting dressed up when she's just visiting her mother but she understood its an important day as they are officially going to her mothers place as a couple.

They drove off and on the way, Alice brought a bouquet of lilies and asked Stella about her mother's favorite fruits and brought a fruit basket too. But that wasn't enough as she even stopped by a jewelry shop and brought an bracelet for her mother. It was a gold necklace. It was not as expensive as a car or something but it was an expensive thing. Stella told her not too as her mother doesn't like to take such gifts but when Alice asked her that would she not take it when her other daughter is giving her the gift and not a stranger, she couldn't say anything.
