Stella went out and hurriedly texted Alice. It was midnight and she knew she might be asleep but she wanted to take a chance.
[ Are you awake?]
She waited for the reply. A moment later, a call directly come. It was Alice. Stella's heart fluttered as she smiled and picked up.
" Hello?" Her beautiful voice come from the other end.
Alice was laying down on her bed. She had been trying to sleep but wasn't falling asleep at all. She was thinking about whether to just get up and work instead. Just then, she felt her phone vibrate and looked at it.
As soon as she saw it was Stella's message, something changed in her and she quickly called her. She tried her best to hid her excited voice and said hello.
" Alice... "
" Yes it's me. Your still out?"
" Yeah."
" Are you okay? Why did you call?"
" ...I want to go home "
Alice was stunned. She was surprised. Her mood suddenly brightened and she felt ecstatic. After a moment, she replied.
" Where are you? I'll be there."
" At Moston club."
" Okay. Wait for me."
Stella looked at her phone and smiled.
'I'll wait for you. Backing down feels impossible with you. Take forever if you want.'
Alice quickly got ready and reached there in twenty minutes. She saw Stella standing in front of the club waiting for her. She had her coat wrapped over her shoulders and she looked quiet cold.
Alice quickly walked towards her. Stella smiled as she saw her and approached her. Alice stopped in front of her and looked at her coat with a frown.
" Why didn't you wear your coat properly? Aren't you cold?"
" I am a little cold but it feels nice."
" Don't be foolish. You'll catch a cold."
" I don't catch cold that easily. It you who falls sick every now and then."
Alice didn't argue with her and took her to the car. As they sat down, Stella took of her coat and put it over her lap. She then looked at Alice with a deep mysterious gaze as she said.
" You know Alice, sometimes some people, somethings, they just makes you feel like your so drunk. I've never had a drink but I know what it feels like. I know what it feels like to be drunk." In your love. She didn't say that part aloud.
Alice looked back with the same deep gaze and said.
" I don't know about being drunk but I do know about being addicted to those drinks. Even if I don't drink them, I want to keep them safe in my treasure box and let them go."
They both stared at each other. Lost in thoughts until Alice turned around and started the car. Stella smiled and looked ahead. She didn't say anything more. They drove back in comfortable silence. They reached their apartments and went up. Stella sneaked a glance at her in the elevator.
They got out and said good night to each other. Alice turned around and went to her apartment. Stella looked at her back with an inexplicable gaze.
Alice opened the door but before she could enter, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist. She was surprised a d looked down. Stella hugged her tightly and nestled her face in her neck. Her hot breath make her nervous.
Alice body went stiff as she felt Stella hug her tighter. She held her breath and didn't say anything. She felt a vibration as Stella spoke.
" It's Alright if you don't want to hug me back, Alice. The day you stop looking at me with that gaze, the day you throw away the drinks you cherished, I promise to disappear out of your life. Never again will I trouble you. Never again will I get drunk. So relax and let it go. Be happy and open with me. I'll be there for you until then."
Saying that, Stella kissed her nape and whispered in her ear.
" Good night, My love."
Then she went away. Like a storm who destroyed the world and then disappeared like it never came.
