Deceived Me

Chapter 26:

They smiled at each other and Stella approached her. She asked.

" Which car should we take?"

" Let's go in your car. I want to see how it is too."

" Alright." Stella smiled. Then she held Alice hand and took her out. She didn't let go until they were sitting in the car. She opened the door for her and got her to sit before sitting herself. Alice felt like she was back in the high school days when she experienced this beautiful heart-fluttering moments for the first time.

Stella started the car and tried to connect blue tooth for some music. She asked Alice.

" Which song do you want to hear?"

" Any song is fine with me."

" No. I want to her your favorite song. Which is your favorite song? I remember you said 'Superhero' was your favorite in high school. I think it was from Lauv right? It's been ages since I listened to his song."

Alice smiled. It used to be her favorite song. She liked quite a few of his songs.

" Yeah but now I likes a new song."

" Really?! Which one?"

" It's a Portuguese song. I've went there once in a while when I was studying. So I got to practise my Portuguese and even started listening to those songs." She actually didn't want to come back here in her holidays so she went there. She wasn't ready then to come back. She was afraid she'd run back to Stella. But even when she was ready, the moment she saw Stella, all these years of resolve died down in an instant.

" That's great. You know, one day let's go there. I want to go to Portugal with you. A special trip with only us. We'll.go wherever you want."

Alice was dazed after hearing that. She had heard the exact same thing once before. She had dreams but they broke. It's seems like the memories of past won't let go of her.

" What's wrong?"

" Oh. Nothing. Just thinking about the songs."

" So, which one is your favorite? I want to hear it."

" Depois Do Universo by Guilia Be. But this song is a little serious type. Maybe it's not suited for now."

" No. There is no such thing." Stella slowed down and carefully put the song on. When it started playing, Stella listened intently. She liked to hear songs according to her mood. If she is sad, she would her sad and happy when happy.

" ...Its quite emotional and beautiful song. What does the lyrics mean. I can only guess they are talking about universe."

Alice smiled. There was happiness along with sadness in her eyes. Stella would never know what this song meant to her. She listened to it so much that she remembered the whole song even when she stopped listening to it.

Before she could say what it meant, the car stopped at a signal and stella turned to look at her excitedly. Alice looked with a confused smile thinking about what's going on in her head. She raised her eyebrows questioning.

" Can you sing it for me? Please! I want to hear your voice~ "

She asked like a child with puppy eyes. Alice was stunned by her request. To sing this song made her heart tremble. The memories of her past life.were carried with this song.

Alice looked ahead and took a deep breath. Then she slowly started singing. Her voice was very soft and heavenly. Stella felt like she was addicted to her voice. But hearing the same song coming out of her mouth in English, Stella was stunned. It seemed more sad when she knew the lyrics. Alice's voice sounds quite sad too. She didn't see as Alice held back the years that threatened to spill when he started singing this heartbreaking song.

While she was singing, Stella listened with a heavy heart. She almost felt like Alice was dining it for someone she has lost.
