They looked around for cars and finally after a few hours, they decided to buy Abyss Black Hyundai Verna. It was a good car and it was just under the perfect amount. Stella paid with her savings and the remaining amount was paid by her mother.
They drove back and Stella rode her car this time. After going home she slept for four hours in her room and work up before dinner time. She ordered her mothers favorite dishes and after having dinner, she went to work.
Seeing her leave, Celina looked worried. She had mix feelings. Stella definitely seems better this time and that made her feel relieved but then she still had this feeling that something bad is going to happen. Still she was glad that Stella was doing better now.
Stella went to work directly. The next morning, she came back. She was still a little unused to having a car. She was used to metro but the car gave her so much comfort that she was relieved. She actually brought the car so that Alice wouldn't worry.
Alice is not super rich but she's definitely from a wealthy family. She never traveled in metro or such. She also thinks that places like metro and clubs are not safe. Any type of crowd comes there and if she's unlucky then she would be hurt.
Alice would insist on dropping her and she didn't want her to get tired doing thay every day. Had she been her responsibility, it would be a different thing but Alice has yet to accept it.
Usually, pediatric doctors or most of the other don't have night shifts. Nurses do. But there has been some incidents in the emergency department because of which at least one pediatric doctor needs to be in the hospital even if they don't have any patient.
Therefore, this was only her third shift. After this week, she will have normal shift for a few weeks. It wasn't the interns lost to have night shift as they got to learn a lot more about the basics of being a doctor instead of just specializing about children. Moreover, whatever they missed, they are thought by seniors.
Her night shift starts at 22:00 and ends at 12:00 the next day. So a few days passed by and they literally didn't met a single day. Alice actually took the initiative to call her at lunch time. Stella just got up and was taking a bath. She called back.
" Hello?"
" Hi. I just wanted to ask how you've been doing. We've not met once so I was wondering if everything is alright."
" Yeah don't worry. I just woke up and took a bath. Everything is fine with me."
" That's good. Well, how have you been commuting? Are you using metro? I could adjust sometime and pick you up."
" It's okay. You don't need to. You'll get tired."
" When does your shift start? Can I know that?"
" You can. My shift starts at 22:00 and ends at 12:00."
" What? That's... That's quite late. Do you use metro at that time?" Alice frowned.
Stella smiled at her worry. She also felt a little bad for worrying her.
" No. I am not."
" Then how?" Alice asked worriedly.
" I'll show you tonight. You come back around 18:00 to 19:00 right. I'll still be home then. I usually have dinner by 18:00 and then I leave for hospital around 21:00. So when you come back, tell me."
" Oh. Alright. I'll try to come sooner. "
" Okay."
They hung up. Alice looked at her phone lost in thoughts. She realised that they could perfectly have dinner together. At first, Stella was really initiative. She would come to her randomly but suddenly she used the night shift excuse to not have dinner together anymore. Otherwise, they would usually have dinner together every day.
What if she really stops loving her again? Would she be able to bear that? Oh god, she shouldn't have send a moment with her. Now the mere thought of parting again, the mere thought of her love dying down makes her feel like she could die. Should she accept her love or go away from her? Would extending a heartbreak be better or would having that heart break right now be better?
