When Stella went out, she saw Alice sitting on the sofa lost in her thoughts. She looked really lonely and pitiful. Her heart ached for her. She approached her and sat beside her. It was a feathers filled English rolled arm sofa. It sunk as soon as she sat down. She hugged Alice's shoulders and talked to her.

" Alice, please don't be like this. It's making me worry. I wouldn't have brought you here had I known you'd be so affected. Mama doesn't even think bad of you. I just talked to her. She was just shocked and asked how come your back and if you'll stay. I told her that you didn't have an option and we had misunderstandings. She's not unreasonable. It's nothing to stress about so much. Tell me. Why are you taking it so seriously? Your not the type to panic those composure. You try your best at times like this."

Alice looked up at her. Her gaze filled with complicated emotions. She looked her in the eye as she said.

" It's because... She's the only person that matters to you. She means the world to you. You mean the world to her. And I want to be liked by the person who is so precious to my love."

Stella's heart fluttered at her words. At sad times when they are usually distressed and crying or stressed like she is now, Alice suddenly says such a deep and heartfelt things that her heart completely melts at that. Unfortunately she doesn't talk such sweet and loving words when they are alone. She is very shy and reserved in this matters.

Before she could say anything, her mother walked out of the kitchen with the juices. This time she really smiled genuinely and treated Alice like how she would treat her daughters partner. She was gentle and kind just like Stella described.

They talked for a while. Celina asked her what she's doing and when she come back. And other things like how is she adjusting to life here and how are her parents. They talked casually without any tension. While talking, Alice also relaxed and calmed down. She realised maybe she was overthinking it. As Stella said, her mother is a very rational woman.

To be honest, in the matter of personality, Stella definitely didn't go on her mother. She was instead more like Alice in few matters.

They bonded really well after talking for a while. It was nearing lunch time and they decided to make lunch together. Before going, Alice stopped her and gave her the gift.

Celina didn't expect yet another the gift. She saw the bag and instantly recognised the brand. Of course she knew it was real gold and she was surprised that Alice brought such an expensive gift for her.

She knew that Alice come from a wealthy family but after talking to her for a while, she realised Alice had no arrogance or pride of being rich. She looked no different from ordinary people. What stands out about her is not her wealth but her aura. She was elegant and had the mannerism of a respectful family but by no means did she come off as arrogant or thoughtless.

She seems like a practical person. She definitely didn't look like the typical riches who'd buy whatever lands in their eyes. Especially not in this matter. So she knew Alice must've brought it with good intentions and a sincere heart. Before she could reject it, Alice spoke.

" Aunty, when I brought the gift, Stella told me to not as you would not accept it. She said you don't take overly expensive things from strangers or even close relatives. When I brought this bracelet, I thought of you like my mother. Aunty, not as your daughters girlfriend but as your own daughter, please accept this gift. I brought this gift to represent my heart. Even if I was a regular employee with a normal salary, even if I didn't have a rich family or earn a lot, I would still brought you something at least this valuable because you are Stella's mother. You mean so much to Stella and I can at least do this much for you. So please Aunty, accept this gift."

Alice speech left her and Stella stunned. Celina couldn't even refuse after hearing what she said. With what heart would she refuse? Alice words made her forget her own words. Alice is more dangerous than both her and her daughter. She had no choice but to accept it.

As for Stella, she was stunned because she rarely got to hear Alice talking this much. She never talked a lot with others and only with her would she talk. So seeing her talking so earnestly did surprise her but she also felt really touched by her words.

Her mother took the gift and looked at Stella. Stella smiled helplessly. Celina opened the gift and also smiled lightly. She looked up at Alice and told her.

" It's really beautiful. Thank you."

" Don't thank me Aunty. I am the same as Stella. I just hope that you like it."

" I like it. It's really good. Alice, your words this time made me speechless. I couldn't refuse but please do not bring such expensive gifts for me again. I just don't want you to spend a lot on me. And I am not a big fan of expensive things either. I like simple and sweet things. Okay?"

" I know Aunty. But this was the first time I was meeting you and it was really meaningful. I wanted to at least do this much."

" Alright. I'll put this in my room and then we can all cook together."
