Your POV

"I'm sorry... What?!" I shouted, standing up from my seat on the couch.

Todoroki glared at his father and stood up from his seat as well. "Absolutely not! Neither of us is just going to go along with that!" He shouted.

Endeavor grew slightly annoyed, but continued to speak calmly, "Now, Shoto, Y/N, think about this seriously. Don't you want to better the hero world by combining your quirks?"

I took a step back and scoff as Todoroki stepped in front of me. "Stop talking. We won't be manipulated by you. Now, aren't we supposed to be going somewhere?"

Endeavor huffed, but stood up, nonetheless. "Yes. We're going to patrol in Hosu City tonight."

Although I was still upset, I decided to put it on the back burner and focus on the job at hand. "Why Hosu City? Does it have something to do with the Hero Killer?"

"Correct. Now, let's get going so we can make it there before it gets dark," Endeavor affirmed before leading us out of the office.

We walked down to a car that was waiting and got in. Endeavor sat in the passenger's seat, while Todoroki and I sat in the back. There was a divider between the front seat and the back. Then, the car started moving and we were off. Todoroki slid the divider shut and turned to me.

"I'm sorry about that, Y/N. I had no idea he was going to suggest-"

I cut him off, "It's okay, Todoroki. I know that we both feel strongly about quirk marriages. Besides, he can't force us into a marriage. So, let's just focus on out internships, okay?"

Todoroki let out a relieved sigh and nodded with a smile. I smiled back, the both of us just happy that nothing was awkward between us.

The Days That Follow...

The next two days we spent training during the day and patrolling Hosu City at night. It was kind of exhausting. I only got a couple hours of sleep every night. However, even though I was annoyed with Endeavor's constant attempts to convince me and Todoroki to agree to a quirk marriage, I had to admit that his training was working. I was more comfortable with working with the public, and I was getting better and faster at fighting hand to hand.

Now, it was the third night of our internships. We were patrolling Hosu City again, and everything was relatively quiet. Until it wasn't.

Suddenly, there was a siren up ahead. Endeavor quickly sprang into action, urging the two of us to follow him as he ran down the sidewalk.

"Shoto. I'll show you what it means to be a hero," he said.

But then, both Todoroki's and my phone buzzed. We stopped and glanced at each other before pulling them from our pockets. It was a text from Midoriya that was sent to our whole class. It was just his location, nothing else.

"That can't be good...," I muttered to Todoroki, who nodded in agreement.

"Damn it! You should be watching me," Endeavor scolded us. But Todoroki and I ignored him and turned around, sprinting towards the location Midoriya had sent. "Hey! Wait! Where the hell are you going?"

"An alleyway at 4-2-10 Ekou Street," Todoroki called over his shoulder.

"If you finish what you're doing or see extra pros, send them there," I added.

"We're leaving you here to take care of this trouble. I'm sure you can handle it yourself. Our friend might be in danger," Todoroki finished.

Endeavor didn't follow us, but continued towards the place the sirens were coming from. We were quickly approaching the alleyway, coming up to the corner that turned into it.
