Your POV
After Bakugo had given me his number, we were all getting ready to leave school for the day. My dad had texted me and told me to meet him and Hizashi in the teacher's lounge when I was ready. I was just grabbing my schoolbag as Uraraka opened the classroom door. There was a collective gasp from most of the class when they saw a bunch of students standing outside our classroom.
"U-um, why the heck are you all here?" Uraraka voiced.
"Do you students have some sort of business with our class?" Iida asked.
"Why are you blocking our doorway? I won't let you hold us hostage!" Mineta shouted.
"They're scouting out the competition, idiots," Bakugo stated, making his way towards the door. "We're the class that survived a real villain attack. They wanna see us with their own eyes." He stopped in the doorway, now directing his words to the students outside, "At least now you know what a future pro looks like. Now move it, extras."
Iida stared yelling something about how Bakugo shouldn't call people extras while Uraraka and Midoriya tensed up nervously.
"So, this is Class 1-A. I heard you guys were impressive, but you just sound like an ass," A voice from the crowd said. I walked closer to the door to see who it was. A guy with unruly purple hair and slight bags under his eyes pushed his way to the front. "Is everyone in the hero course delusional, or just you?" Bakugo's muscles flexed in anger as he stared at the kid with purple hair. "How sad to come here and find a bunch of ego maniacs. I wanted to be in the hero course, but like many others here, I was forced to choose a different track. Such is life. I didn't cut it the first time around, but I have another chance. If any of us do well in the sports festival, the teachers can decide to transfer us to the hero course. And they'll have to transfer people out to make room. Scouting the competition? Maybe some of my peers are, but I'm here to let you know that if you don't bring your very best, I'll steal your spot right from under you. Consider this a declaration of war."
My eyes narrowed as I stepped forward and in front of Bakugo. The guy with purple hair turned his purple eyes to look at me directly. "Listen, I'm all for a bit of competition, but this 'declaration of war' is pointless. I admire your confidence... but come back when you've fought of some real villains." With that, I pushed my way past him and through the crowd. I could feel their stares on my back, but I didn't bother to turn around. I made my way to the teacher's lounge and threw the door open harshly. My dad and Hizashi turned to me with wide eyes, sensing the aura around me.
"Woah! What's got you so angry, kid?" Hizashi asked.
I took a deep breath to calm myself down. "Sorry. A bunch of the other classes were outside our classroom just now. One of the kids made a declaration of war on our class. They all think we're a bunch of cocky, mediocre students who have no idea what we're doing. They think the whole villain attack was some kind of joke. It just makes me so angry, because I worked really hard to get into Class 1-A..."
It was true. In all honesty, I think my class has earned the right to be confident. We were the top examinees during the entrance exams, and we fought off some real villains.
"Show them," my dad answered.
"Huh?" I asked. Show them what?
"Show them how good you are. I know how hard you've worked to get here. So don't slack off or you'll fall behind. Keep training and getting stronger. Show everyone how much you want to be a hero."
My mouth turned from a small frown into a determined smile. "Yeah, alright. I've got two weeks until the sports festival. And I'm gonna make every second count."
