Your POV

Hizashi's voice came through the speakers, "With that vicious carpet bombing, Bakugo advances to the third round! Ladies and Gentlemen, our final four!" A picture of each of us came up on the screen. My picture was of me giving my two fingered salute to the crowd earlier.

My match against Iida was first. I walked onto the concrete fighting ground and made eye contact with Iida. I had to admit, I would be okay if I lost right here. I made it to the semifinals and that was more than enough to show the pros what I could do. Of course, I do want to win, but Iida is a tough opponent. Both of our quirks are close-range, and I can run about the same speed as him when I'm using my quirk. We were pretty evenly matched, so this would be a hard fight.

"The first match of the semifinals! Both come from hero families, making this a battle of elites! From the hero course, Tenya Iida! Versus... His classmate, Y/N Aizawa!" I saw Iida's eyes narrow as he studied me. Probably thinking of a strategy to beat me. "Start!"

Iida immediately used his engines to run towards me. I jumped up in the air at the last second, avoiding his attack. He skidded to a halt as he spun around to face me. Iida ran at me again, but at then he did something I wasn't prepared for. He jumped in the air, coming towards me fast.

"Recipro Burst!"

His leg came down with incredible force and speed, but I used my quirk to heighten my adrenaline and duck underneath it. Good. Now he only had ten seconds before his engines stall.

As I was standing back up, Iida went in for another kick and slammed me into the concrete. I coughed as the air was forced out of my lungs. I didn't have any time to recover as Iida grabbed the back of my jacket and started dragging me towards the edge of the ring.

I thought of something quickly. It would definitely hurt, but it was my only chance. I hardened the bones and skin of my fingers as much as I could. Then, I dug them into the concrete. I started to slow us down until Iida came to a stop. I quickly planted my hands on the ground and used a superstrength kick with both of my legs to throw him out of bounds.

I slowly and shakily pushed myself up, caressing my aching and bruised fingers. I felt a bit dizzy from the rapid changes in my body.

"Iida is out of bounds! Y/N advances!"

The crowd cheered as I faced them, giving them a smile and a salute with my injured fingers.

I made my way off the field and into Recovery Girls office. Sure, I could've healed myself, but it would've taken a lot more out of me. And I couldn't afford that before the finals.

"Y/N dear! Congratulations on making it to the finals!" Recovery Girl said, giving me her sweet old lady smile.

"Thanks Recovery Girl, but... could you heal my hands please?" I asked sheepishly.

"Oh, yes, of course! Take a seat," she said, motioning to the chair pulled out. She gently took my hands and examined them, seeing how bad the injuries were. "Well, lucky for you, they aren't broken. You've bruised the bones and cut up your hands though. But you'll be right as rain before the finals." She used her quirk and placed a kiss on each of my hands. Healing them both pretty much instantly.

"Thanks, Recovery Girl. I know I could've done it myself. But I was already kinda weak from my fight with Iida."

"Oh, don't mention it, dear. Besides, you need to conserve your energy. Now, hurry up or you'll miss the other semifinal match!"

I nodded and ran out of the room, going up to the stands. As soon as I turned the corner, Kaminari had jumped up and threw his arm around my shoulders. "Y/N! Congrats on making it to the finals!"
