Your POV

Today was the first day of my work study! I was so excited to actually get out onto the streets and do some hero work.

I had some breakfast, got dressed, and then grabbed my hero costume. I was about to walk out the door, but Katsuki grabbed my arm, stopping me. "What is it, Katsu?"

"I'll walk with you," he said quietly, so that only I could hear him. He had a habit of being embarrassed when he did sweet things like that in front of others. I thought it was cute though.

Giggling slightly I nodded, lacing our fingers together, "Okay, let's go."

We walked hand in hand to the front gates of the school, Midoriya and Mirio already there. When they came into view, he dropped my hand and threw his arm over my shoulders, pulling me into his side. I blushed and smiled to myself at his gesture.

"Hey, Y/N! Ready to go?" Mirio asked excitedly. I nodded enthusiastically.

I turned to Katsuki and gave him a short kiss before saying lowly, "I'll see you later, Katsu." He smirk and nodded, pecking me one more time before turning around and walking back to the dorms.

I walked over to Mirio and Midoriya, an excited, yet dreamy smile on my face. "Wow, Y/N. Kacchan is like a whole different person when he's with you," Midoriya commented.

I smiled and glanced over my shoulder, seeing my boyfriend's retreating figure, "I like to think we make each other better." Turning back to the two boys, I spoke, "Okay, let's go! I can't wait any longer to start my hero work!"

Mirio laughed and nodded, starting the walk towards the car that would take us to the train station.

After Arriving at the Agency...

We had all changed into our hero costumes now. My goggles sat on my forehead as Mirio, Midoriya, Bubble Girl, and I all stood before Sir Nighteye. "Today, we will be doing patrols and surveillance. We'll split up into two teams. I'll be with Bubble Girl, and Mirio, you're with Midoriya and Y/N," he explained.

"Surveillance?" Midoriya questioned. I had to agree with his confusion. I mean, patrols are standard hero work. But surveillance usually means that we're looking for something in particular.

"Nighteye Agency is currently working on a secret investigation," Bubble girl replied.

Nighteye continued with the information for the investigation, "Shie Hassaikai is a small, organized crime syndicate." He flipped around a couple documents that had a photo attached to them. It was a young man with slightly tousled brown hair and piercing golden eyes. He wore a beaked mask over his mouth and nose that resembled that of a plague doctor. "That's Kai Chisaki. As the young head of the group, he's its second in command, and he's been behaving strangely lately. That plague mask is his trademark."

"Creepy... I thought there wasn't much trouble with organized crime these days, since the police know who they are and monitor their movements," Midoriya spoke, picking up the photo. I tensed slightly at that, thinking about my clan and my mother.

"It's been that way since the big groups broke up," Bubble Girl replied, "But this Chisaki guy is starting to gather them together again, though we don't know why. The details are unclear, but we do know he made contact with the League of Villains recently."

Damn it, I know why! The Kobayashi Clan is falling apart, and all of its players are up for grabs. I need to tell them.

"Unfortunately," Sir Nighteye continued, "we don't have solid proof linking him to anything criminal yet. Hassaikai operates in a legal gray area that's close to black, but we can't treat them like villains. Our objective is to tail them and find out what they're up to. Be careful not to arouse any suspicion."
