Your POV
A small group of us were walking on the school grounds discussing the prep that needed to be done for the festival.
"We have, like, so many decisions to make about costumes and choreography," Mina cheered.
"What music do you think the rest of the school would enjoy?" Shoji asked Jiro and me.
Kaminari replied, "We should do whatever's trendy. Right, Jiro?" She merely hummed in response, not really sure what to play yet. It was so obvious that Kaminari had a thing for her. It was kinda cute though.
We continued our conversation until we reached the dorms where everyone was gathered. We planned on discussing it as a class and getting started.
"The school festival is one month away!" Iida announced, "We don't have much time. We should start making decisions right now."
"First, we need to pick out a song, right? What should we do?" Toru asked.
Ojiro shrugged, "I don't know much about popular music, so I'll leave that up to you guys."
"Same," Shoji agreed.
"If we're doing this for everyone," Kaminari suggested, "shouldn't it be a song that most people know so they can dance and sing along with us?"
"It's gotta be something with a good beat!" Sero said.
Mina laughed and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, so we can get down!
"With those things in mind, I think I know what would make sense," Jiro said, "A hardcore four-on-the-floor club song. It'll be like a rave-meets-rock show. As for dance music, EDM would probably be the most popular. But you guys wanna play instruments, right?" Everyone looked at Jiro, totally lost with all the music lingo, making me laugh a little. "Anyone play bass or drums or anything?" Once again, nobody said anything. "Okay. Well, I'd say that drums are the backbone of any band. I'd take on the responsibility myself, but, honestly, I main the guitar, not percussion. Teaching a beginner to play an instrument while practicing myself would be impossible to do in just one month."
I raised my hand slightly as I smiled, "Katsuki plays the drums pretty well."
"Huh?" My boyfriend says with a deadpanned look at me. Everyone made some kind of shocked remark at this new information.
"Awesome! take a seat and show us what you got," Sero urged.
Katsuki rolled his eyes and spun around to face away from everyone as he replied, "In your dreams, moron."
Sero opened his mouth to ask again, but I gave him a smirk while mouthing, "I got this." I walked over and stood in front of him, cupping his cheeks in my hands. "Please, Katsu... For me?" I pleaded with big round eyes.
He stared down at me, his cheeks flushing slightly. I watched the resistance slowly melt away as he reluctantly gave in, "Ugh, fine." He walked over to the drum set that Jiro had set up in the common area a few days prior and sat down. He picked up the drumsticks and proceeded to play a really impressive beat for a few measures before stopping and staring hard at everyone. "Well?"
"That was killer!"
"He's so good!"
"Who'd've known that you've got talents?"
"That's it, Bakugo's gotta be our drummer!"
He stood up from the drum set, shoving his hands in his pockets as he scoffed, "No way am I making a fool of myself up on that stage."
"Bakugo, come on! Do it!" Jiro urged, "If we rock this, everyone'll have a great time!"
"Don't you get what's gonna happen?" He replied harshly, "I'll spell it out for you. We're doing this because we wanna let the other courses blow off some steam, right? But we're the ones who caused their stress to begin with. So, we're just trying to make ourselves feel better. This is gonna seem like a slap in the face from the people they can't stand!"
