Your POV

It had been a few weeks of working at Endeavor Agency and our training had been going well. We were all progressing nicely at a fast rate, which was good considering the circumstances. I had asked Endeavor what to do about telling my dad about the situation, and he told me not to say anything. He would be having a meeting soon with the other heroes he was sure he could trust to discuss a plan to strike before the liberation army.

So, here we are now. It was the beginning of February, and it was the weekend, so we were all at the agency. A detective had come to us with a new case that he wanted Endeavor to take. It was a minor league villain that had been vandalizing all over the area, but no one seemed to be able to catch him.

As we looked over the photos of the graffiti, the detective pleaded his case, "There have already been more than 50 incidents. Endeavor, will you help us bring this vandal to justice?"

"You're asking me to track down a mere graffiti artist?" The pro asked.

"I'm begging you," the detective replied.

"Denied! Send more officers," Endeavor retorted, "This job is beneath me."

But the detective wasn't giving up, "Please, sir. We've tried. The man known as 'Mr. Smiley' keeps eluding our forces. His quirk's too strong."

"Now you've got my interest," Burnin stated, urging the man to continue.

"What kind of power does he have?" Kido asked.

The detective answered, "Everybody who looks at Smiley's face loses their mind. They convulse in fits of laughter."

"That's your problem?" Endeavor asked, almost insulted that the detective had asked him to handle such a small task.

"It's agony," The detective retorted, "Victims writhe on the ground unable to stop cracking up. What's more, this lasts for two full hours. Whenever we try to arrest him, he makes us laugh and slips through our fingers."

After a moment of contemplation, Endeavor gives in, "Oh, very well. I suppose we can keep an eye out for this comedian while we're out on patrol."

"The city thanks you, sir!" The detective replied with a breath of relief. He left soon after, leaving us to look at the pictures and come up with a plan.

"I can't believe they're foisting such a trivial case on us," Endeavor complained.

"Yikes," Kido added, "The graffiti's pretty bad."

"Yeah, does this guy think he's Banksy or something?" Onima agreed.

Midoriya, of course, began analyzing the situation, "He can force his opponents to start laughing. Which means, he's a lot like Ms. Joke."

I groaned at the mention of her, "Let's not bring her into this. I'd like to interact with her as little as possible."

"Oh?" Kido asked, a bit curious as to what my problem with the hero was.

I shook my head, "Don't ask."

"Perhaps the easiest option would be to arrest him without looking him in the face," Todoroki suggested.

"Why are you scumbags taking this guy so seriously, huh?!" Katsuki shouted.

I rolled my eyes, "Probably because no one has been able to capture him yet."

"I'm going home for a bit. Patrols are on you," Endeavor instructed as he began walking out of the conference room.

"Roger!" Burnin, Kido, and Onima affirmed, standing to their feet with a salute.
