Your POV
A month had passed, and it was now the day before the school festival. We had just finished a total rehearsal in the gym before the big show tomorrow morning.
"We'll have to clear outta the gym soon! But we should have enough time for one more run-through!" Kirishima announced.
The special effects team was watching from the front as the rest of us practiced on the stage. Mina was currently directing the dance team while the band stood in place, just to make sure there wouldn't be any issues with spacing and stuff like that.
"Look alive!" Mina shouted as she counted the steps, "And pose! Then, Aoyama goes to the center and Midoriya books it offstage. Midoriya. You're still lacking passion, so bring the fire!"
"Roger!" He exclaimed with a thumbs up.
I stood beside Katsuki, humming the melody to the song as I mimicked the finger placements of the guitar.
"I'll admit, I am getting a little nervous," Momo said nervously.
"Hey," Jiro said, directing it to Katsuki, "Don't improvise during the actual concert."
"Huh?!"
I sighed as I nudged him with my shoulder, "We already talked about this. Not everyone can keep up with you when you do that."
Kaminari whined as he said, "Why you gotta drag me like that, Y/N?"
"I don't think you're the only one she's talking about, friend," Tokoyami reassured, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, Kaminari," I told him, "It's not just you."
As Midoriya lifted Aoyama into the air, the doors to the gym slammed open. "It's already 9:00!" Hound Dog yelled, "Students should have cleared out of the gym by now!"
I jumped I gestured for everyone to go quickly. Hound Dog was so scary.
11:35 P.M.
Almost everyone was wide awake. We were all nervous, yet excited for the concert.
"Woo! I can't sleep!" Kaminari yelled.
"Yeah, right?! I'm stupid excited!" Mineta agreed.
Mina was quick to scold them, "Not so loud! People are sleeping upstairs."
"I just hope the audience will be that enthusiastic," Iida added.
Jiro nervously brushed it off, "It's probably better if we don't think about it very much... Being embarrassed... Worrying what others are thinking... That'll kill our vibe. We should focus on having fun. That's what really matters."
I yawned as I pulled Katsuki's sweatshirt tighter around me, "Jiro's right. We know the music and the choreography. We'll be fine."
"Yeah, says the girls who were super scared to front the band!" Kaminari teases.
"Shut up!" Jiro retorts, "That was a totally different situation."
I nodded, "Next time, you can be the lead of the band. See how easy it is."
"What Jiro said is good advice for more than just the performance," Midoriya added."
Aoyama nodded, "Oui. When you try to make others feel good, you end up raising your own spirits, too."
"Exactly," Midoriya and I agreed.
Suddenly, Midoriya gasped as he picked up the rope they were using to dangle Aoyama, "This roe is so frayed."
"Mon dieu! We put it through some abuse during practice," Aoyama says, "It's physical proof of our blossoming friendship!"
Midoriya shrugs as he worriedly examens the rope, "But it's dangerous. I should've noticed this before "
