Your POV

The meeting came and went. We gathered all the information and came up with a plan of attack. It was revealed that Hawks was a spy for us, and the Nomu were being manufactured in Jaku Hospital. From Hawks' intel, we knew where the liberation army would be meeting and at what time, and that was when we were going to strike.

There would be two raids taking place at the same time split into two groups. Team Endeavor, which consisted of a few members of my class, my dad, Hisashi, Endeavor, and a bunch more pros, would be taking the hospital. Team Edgeshot would be raiding the Gunga Mountain Villa where most of the Liberation Army would be. This team had a bunch of pros and most of the work-study students. Kaminari would be charging in on the front lines before going back to the rest of Class A. Eri had learned to use her quirk in that time and restored Mirio's quirk, so he would be joining us in battle.

Even though my class was only supposed to be back up and help with evacuations, I had a bad feeling. Sure, we had the element of surprise, but they had the numbers. According to Hawks, Shigaraki was off in the mountains getting stronger. That in and of itself was worrying. He was All for One's protégé, 'getting stronger' could mean a lot of very bad things for us.

Before we left for the mission, I made sure to give Eri a kiss and tell her I loved her. I tried really hard not to let her see my worry. But I think she could sense it a little bit. Even so, I left her with the comforting promise of my return. Hopefully, I could keep it.

Present

It was the day of the attack. The exact date was March 27th, and the weather was starting to warm back up. It was just warm enough to comfortably wear our costumes from before winter. I decided to keep my masked turtlenecked shirt and the hood on my jacket from my winter costume though. Overall, it was a beautiful spring day, which made the inevitable bloodshed even worse.

We were just outside of Jaku City. The hospital team was about to leave, but there was something I needed first.

"Dad, Mic. Can you come here for a sec?"

The two of them glanced at each other, a bit curious, but obliged. I took them a little bit farther from the group.

"What is it, Y/N?" My dad asked.

I took a deep breath, struggling not to tear up as I spoke, "I just wanted to tell you... just in case something happens... I'm really grateful for everything you guys did for me growing up. And... I love you guys."

My dad gave me a sad smile as he walked over, pulling me into a hug. "I love you, kid. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. I couldn't imagine my life without you."

"I love you too," I replied, hugging him tightly, my eyes tearing up.

Once we pulled back, I was immediately engulfed in a hug by Hizashi, "Don't tell anyone else, but you're my favorite student." I laughed a little, trying to contain the quiet sniffle. "Stay safe, N/N."

"Yeah, you guys too," I nodded.

"Raid team," Endeavor called, "Let's go."

They gave me one last sad smile before starting to walk off. But my dad stopped and turned his head back, saying, "Don't do anything stupid."

"No promises," I said, huffing as much of a laugh as I could muster. I blinked my tears back and took a deep breath, composing myself.

Once they were no longer in sight and I was sure I wouldn't cry, I called Midoriya and Katsuki over. I turned to the green-haired boy and spoke, "Stay close to us, please. We don't know how much they know about you and your power. You could become a target, and I won't leave you to fight by yourself."
